Octavia III Door protectors available now.

Featured Replies

They are not official Skoda parts as far as I'm aware, so you can only get them from Superskoda. Regard fitting then I would think most dealers/bodyshops might be able to carry out the fitting for you.

I think dents look better.

I usually only damage the door edges, and Halfords clear strip on a roll takes care of that problem.

They are available on the official skoda accessories brochure. I have had them fitted on my black octavia. TBH i like them and they do the job. Dealer fitted them for free and gave me 10% discount on the protectors. Let me show you some pics...

Do you have a part number, as I've not come across them in an Octy III accessories brochure as yet.

Thanks,

Sorry mate I dont have the part number however it is there in the universal accessories brochure. I suppose if you call any dealer's parts department then they will be able to give you the part number..

They look good in black on a black car but otherwise I'd prefer to have them in body colour

You are right. That's the reason i went for them..

May compliment a white car..... may ruin it.

Decisions  :wall:

  • 4 weeks later...

Decided to get a kit in the end and fit myself; three went on perfectly but the nearside front went a bit wobbly, as the trims are a soft touch rather than hard plastic material and I focused to much on following the door crease rather than letting the trim take it's own natural line.

Probably stay as is rather than faff with another kit; they are more for function than form so to speak and I also appreciate some members may not like them for breaking the clean line look.

That looks a little low down the door to me.

Still undecided.... hmmmm.

Agreed think it looks too low to save it from most other car doors

low and in the 'dent'  the door is proud of the protector both above and below it isn't it?

they look smart enough thoough

Sits just above the indent along the top crease line and is triangular in profile, though I agree they could do to be a bit higher but this is where they are designed to go following the instructions. Mind ours is 15mm taller than most Octy III's :giggle:

Speaking to another forum member it appears these are a UK market part provided directly by SUK rather than Skoda Auto.
