Colin McRae drives for Skoda in the Rally GB!

Interesting read, I wonder if Colin driving for Skoda will bring a bit more tv coverage than the usual 5 seconds.

5 secs?

I've not seen them anytime i've watched it........

Just wall-to-wall butt-kissing of Citroen's and Misterbushy's.

They only ever focus on the top eight. Say what you will about the dire nature of F1, but at least they do sometimes wander down to the bottom-runners........

If you want TV coverage you have to perform - Skoda don't because they are trying to do it on the cheap and it will never work. All this will do is highlight how crap a car they are running.

Interestingly enough McRae was in Motorsports News this week saying his main priority was to get Kris Meeke in a top car.

He also said "If I'm going toi drive anything , I don't want it just to be a one-off. It would have to be a toe in the water for something bigger next year."

To get TV coverage you need to either be in the top 5 or have spectacular crashes and abuse your co-driver. I suspect Colin will deliver one of them ;)

McRae would be brilliant for the Team, hopefully he'll be able to develop the car set up a bit with his experience.

ITV will have no probs showing Skoda with Colin behind the wheel. At the end of the day I suppose they are just not deserving to be shown, I mean privately run guys are consistantely finishing in front of them.

Very interesting point, what would be the chances of McRae driving one car if Meeke got the other ! Although theres going to be a lot of top class drivers looking for drives next year !

:woohoo:

Thats made my day :D

Well i'm pleased, at least now there is someone i'd like to win. (even though he is a sweaty). Ive hardly watched a rally this year for the first time ever because of the lack of something good to watch. Cant wait to see McRae in action again.

Hopefully it will make Skoda's Rally :)

Chris

hmm, Colin Never crashes! :P

Mlad

:)

Thats excellent news, its really good that he is going to test with the team before the rally to help develop the car

It will be fantastic to see Colin back I just hope that the Skoda holds together as their reliability has been shocking this year. One thing though is they will get a shed load of publicity from it and ITV and Eurosport will be giving Skoda some publicity, something they very rarely do at the moment.

:rally: :rally: :rally: :rally: :rally:

one of two things will happen

he will ether get a top 3

or do a devonutopia :P

or do a devonutopia :P

I hope he doesn't, this is his chance to show what a great driver he is and I hope he doesn't blow it.
