Just chuck a set of ditchfinders on, how bad can they be?!

Sent from my phone so please excuse brevity and spelling

Ha, never ended up in a ditch, must be the driver!

I absoloutely loved and trusted my Conti SC3's on my old Mk2 TDI although, the O3 has arrived with Michelin Primacy HP which I'd have never had brought although, a lot of members on here like them so I'll give them a try and see but, I think I'll be back to the Conti's come replacement time, mind Costco's do sell Michelin's so they might have a life line if their as good as the SC3's

I'll be swapping to Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2 as soon as the Conti on the vRS wear, which I guess won't be long as the TC light seems to come on regularly if I try to pull away quickly - not impressed with them so far!

I changed the tyres and opted for Falcons. Happy with them and not bad value at £82.50 each, fitted and balanced.

You really should read the tyre reviews for why this is a REALLY bad idea. The worst shortcoming is stopping distance - generally up to two or three car lengths longer than decent branded tyres. Tyres are one thing that it really doesn't pay to economise on - particularly if you value the lives of yourself and your passengers.

I have found Donlop sp's to be good on grip and wear on my 1.8 tsi Octy's. They were standard on my current. But conti's on my 1st one were atrocious for wear. Around 1/2, life of Dunlop's.

My new vRS has come with a set of Pirelli PZero tyres, not run Pirelli's for years, so not sure how they will wear. But I usually opt for Kumho's when replacing.
