Just entered my reg on their site, that's until I got to the second page, they want email and phone number. Not likely.

Got part ex value of £7k last month against a new Skoda so anywhere between that and £8k private will do nicely as a guide.

I put my email address in but leave the phone part empty.

Leckman, thanks just done it again.

Well, I am suprised came out £6,860. on WBAC.So going on the above dealer part ex it ain't far off is it.

Just done a Wisebuyers guide which I reckoned on not being a bad guide previously and they come out at a tad over £7k retail value and £6k part ex value.

I'm guessing that the dealer would lower their part ex quote now though if I went in again, and judging on comments I've read WBAC try and beat the price down once they've got your car in front of them.

At the end of the day it's only worth what someone will give you, lots of choice for buyers out there so they can be picky and want a bargain also, buyers market.

Nail on the head, this is the trouble with small city cars, the market is full of them! I was considering to change mine next year for something with an autobox. But with the price of them I might aswel run it in to the ground.

00000 000000 works on almost all web forms. If it doesn't, put the company's own number in :)

Tried the WBAC for a quote with the previous Octavia but entering the reg brought up the right model of car but with the wrong engine size :wonder:

Manually entering the details worked up to age and registration; they didn't appear to recognise cars registered in Jan and Feb.

So gave up at that point.

Just tried WBAC again and the price for my Sport has shot up to £4810-00,still a rubbish price mind,at least its going in the right direction.

WBAC are part of british car auctions, the price they offer is based on what they think can turn it around for. People buying a used skoda at auction aren't going to be paying top dollar ;)

I just tried my Rapid (1.2tsi 105 elegance with a few options), which has a list price of just under £17k (but with various offers it's selling new for far less), it is 4 months old and 4k miles. £8545 from WBAC :)

As others have said, something in-demand will fetch a decent price, potentially exceeding a trade-in value from a dealer, otherwise it's just a quick way of turning a car into cash for those in a hurry.

Oh and for the personal details bit, this site can help: http://www.doogal.co.uk/PostcodeGenerator.php

My car has lost half its value, although there's no option to input any modifications you've done to the car (remap etc)

Modifications add little value if any anyway. Some even devalue the car.

I'm afraid feebet is right mods or extras can devalue the car[emoji19]

Mines now increased to £6995 less their administration charges and damage.

I may change the citigo next March if value is not far of that.

Though I doubt it will be with Skoda (due to Skoda's current pricing)
