So I thought I'd have a look and think about getting the winters for the new Fabia, before demand in the autumn pushed the prices up / made some tyres scare, especially if the white stuff does actually arrive.

 

I am pretty certain that in spring, early summer last year, a set of 15" 6J 5x112 steels were about £35-40 each but four steels (from a certain main stream website) showed as £220 yesterday.

 

Was I just lucky last year when I looked or has something bumped the prices up? I was not really worried about the Fabia looking good on her winters but at this rate I am just going to buy a set of used alloys on ebay and spend the summer doing those up since it will be much cheaper.

 

Or buy used steels, since for many winter is over and this is a good time to buy for 'Much Cheapness'.

Bad time to buy Convertibles if looking for a real bargain at around Easter time (pre Summer),

November might have shown more bargain prices.

Good time to buy older 4x4's that peiople bought for the winter that never happened.

The quick look on ebay I had this morning was more, yes that we "more" expensive than most alloys.
