Maybe some enterprising person could make and sell stick on tops on eBay.

:)

I noticed on the Leon Cupra TV commercial it says Cupra instead of Sport on the display screen. I wonder if we get VRS mode on the screen too?

Typical of Beadles cocking up something. Make them supply and fit the black pack at their cost (so you don't even pay for the option).

No, you don't.

How did you spot my car by the way?

It was parked out front to the right and you can't miss a bright green VRS. This was over the weekend.

mine is the same, with vrs button, so they've obviously found a bucket of them down the back of the sofa or something.

operation is a bit silly though; it would make more sense if it just directly switched on sport mode.

Errr - factory.

The whole bumper has to be removed to replace the chrome grille surround with a black one - not something you want the dealer doing!

Looks like they messed up the order!

And don't let them pass you off with a quick slap dash application of gloss black paint from the parts department, the black pack on the grill and the mirror caps is a pearl black, as you can clearly see the flake in the paint.

Yep, its Black Magic.

Same as the normal Mode button, but with a vRS logo

I like. To me it makes more sense on a VRS. Its a VRS so it's the VRS mode button. Drive mode for all non VRS models. Hope I get it too.

It doesn't make sense though as VRS Mode lights up even when in Eco....... I'd still like one though.

I got the 1.8 Elegance with Drive Mode selector - seems it is only matter of the logo. For notes I have selected individual, where I have selected hardest steering (I like semi hard steering) and if I need a sport mode - I will just pop my DSG shifter down into sport mode / manual for steering wheel shifters.

So basically I ordered that button only to select harder steering :-D

Could someone confirm or deny the fact, if you do not have that button, then you car setting menus will not contain individual / ECO or what not.

ah, the mythical beast button finally arrives on UK shores.... ;)

So the vRS button is just the Mode Button but it says vRS in the vRS model! (????? It's really an excitable question)

Yup, it's been known all along.

Looking on ETKA the buttons come as two seperate rows and not individual buttons so it look like the whole row would need changing which I doubt would be cheap...... Hopefully Super Skoda or ebay will come up with something....

Up to you I suppose - wing mirror caps are a doddle, but to do the front grille surround the official way you need to take the bumper off.

To do it the unofficial way you can just trash the chrome surround and fit the black one without taking the bumper off, try and convince a dealer to do that though!

Good job you didn't order a Combi and were missing the gloss black roof rails as well!

Just received confirmation the black design pack is being fitted by the dealer. No idea why but it will be fitted before I collect next Wednesday so I'm happy. I'll take a close look on Wednesday.

Which means they'll be painting the stuff and not replacing anything as they should. I highly doubt they have the parts lying around just in case this happens, or some other VRS owner has his grill stolen/damaged.

They're just trying to get out of the situation with the minimum fuss and expense to them. :)

How do you know for sure? These parts are available from stock within 48 hours....

I don't know for sure, it's just that VRS parts don't seem to be available that easy. You being one example. Are you sure they are available from stock within 48 hours? :)

My bumper took 4 weeks to arrive after ordering, the grille surround was there the week it was ordered.

No fair my car only got built the end of Feb and I don't have the vRS button......

Apparently my car arrived before the weekend as someone spotted it Saturday or Sunday so they've had it 5 or 6 days already and I'm not picking it up until Wednesday 30th so if the parts were ordered it would give them 7 or 8 working days or 13 normal days to get the part in.

took my dealer about 30mins to fit mine
