Apologies to Neily03 and all those trying to find a November brochure  with the Vrs button. Just checked and NO, just Mode. sorry.

However mine has arrived at the dealers with a Vrs button and the Bridgestone tyres mentioned elsewhere.

Opened the manual (admitted defeat) to find something related to the tyre pressure system and noticed they have a photo of both buttons and label them as VRS button for VRS cars and Mode for other models (on the selecting driving mode page) so hopefully from now on all models will have this fitted.

its been like this from early on in the manual which was what I forwarded onto Skoda UK originally.  It was mentioned in the brochure but only in text and no picture.

At least you guys some kind of mode button... Ordered in December and picked up my mkIII VRS last month, it doesn't have a 'VRS' button or even a 'Mode' button. Apparently Irish spec models don't have that option and instead we get an ESC button. The options are ESC on, ESC off and if you select from the Bolero (or possible long hold, haven't tried that), ESC Sport. No option to change throttle response, steering, aircon or anything else, just alter the traction control. The owner’s manual only mentions VRS or mode button, according to it, ESC doesn’t exist.

No, they both get it as the modes have no influence on the engine anyway.

My picture a few posts up is on a diesel car.

I watched a video on YouTube yesterday of Octavia RS, the video had been posted in May and this car also had an vRS mode button.

It does appear that they have started adding these before the model year change, I hope mine has one when it arrives, I know it's only a button and it does the same as the Mode button, but I would be pretty pee'd if it didn't have one.

My tsi has the Vrs labeled mode button. Had it over a week. My favourite bit is being in eco drive with the dsg, then when ready to overtake. Pull the stick back, this changes to sport, then push the throttle. Just remember to pull out first or you could rear end someone.
