  • Picked up the RS today.     Obviously I am in the honeymoon period, but I'd like to think I've done a reasonable amount of test drives and owned enough to give me a decent feeling for a car.

  • Had the Fiesta ST back for a couple of days now, since it's turbo kit was installed.     Kit consisted of: Peron V1 Superstock hybrid turbocharger, (spool from 1200rpm, peak torque at 2500rpm a

  • As many will know, the ST-3 was sold at 18 months old with 11,000 miles on the clock.     Fast forward a few months....   I went looking for another. Even with my fleet discount a new ST-3 was mor

Power Upgrade or put it in for a Part -ex on the new RS once it comes out ?

Can't 'like' that enough. I got all excited at work today when you said about it. Couldn't concentrate, just had race cars on the mind.

So... I am 95% on the way to getting this:

Which will mean getting my race license, speeding some time getting familiar with the car and then doing some real racing. (at a sensible cost)

Exciting times. cool.png

I assume they will notice if it turns up on track with a TTRS engine in it?

Seems like a great entrance into Motorsport. Some of it is televised too and a few of the drivers progress into the Clio cup.

Are you planning to drive for a team to begin with, or just set up as an independent driver/ team?

I am planning to run as an owner/driver in the CSCC Tin Top series.

But that isn't set in stone.

They have a class for 2,000cc NA Fiestas.

No no no no. Far too technical. I'll be in the pit garage with the grid girls.....

Excellent, a slightly different series to the one I was thinking of.

I'm sure you will do brilliantly :)

Looks like fun Richard,

If you need a car transport vehicle driver, let me know.

Got you on speed dial. ;)

Nice one Richard, I presume it's a 2.0 duratec lump, reasonably tuneable, 220-250bhp with bodies and cams. Loads of parts available. Standard IB5 Gearbox made of butter though.

All the best with it, look forward to coming along to your first race meet.

HEY! That's my job! :p :p :D It's a dirty job but somebody's gotta do it!

And here is another pic.  Think I've got used to the looks because I like those now.  Sure I got the right colour too.

You really need to man up and tell these girls to get the feck out of the shot when you are taking pictures of the car.

For the sake of the car i hope her ass wasnt too firm, the jeans could scratch the paint :)

I like the CSCC plan, would be epic to get into the international series and go out to Spa.

Let us know if you plan on doing Brands Hatch and I'll negotiate an exclusive Briskoda Hospitality rate, I'm sure there would be 30 or so takers willing to fill the suite up. We could even have a guest appearance and autograph session with our very own racing driver.. :D We'll leave Taylor in charge of finding the grid girls..  :mmm: on second thoughts....

Little while since an update.

Car is still great.  Amazing cornering speed and balance.

Truth is it's kind of up for sale, but I'm not pushing that as I'm not unhappy if it stays...

Some pictures I have been working on for a "Woodlands" themed Fiesta STOC competition.

Throwing in a jaunty angle! :D

I kind of like the first one, but I got into motorsport through (aside from living a mile from Jackie Stewart's parents) living on the route of the Burmah Rally, 12 miles from one of the starts of the Monte back in the days of multiple start locations, and near the Argyll and Trossachs forest stages. (all of which is context for why I'd like it best)

Another lovely looking car Richard. I was quite surprised you got rid of the last one TBH as that was just so capable around the track. Just the right amount of torque to bhp again, just surprised you didn't do it your first one.

A very good bang per buck then! I've got to get a ride in this car when you've done it. At some point, I'll get a more modern everyday car, and an ST Fiesta (being small and nimble with reasonable economy) may just hit the spot.

285bhp from a Fiesta :-) love the sound of that!

Lovely stuff. Did wonder if you might return to one at some point :)
