please excuse me if already discussed, but used the search and found nothing.

 

How to get the CAN bus version of my CAN gateway? Is there a way to do it over VCDS? The car is 2010 Fabia Mk2 Facelift. The point is, i want to mount a RCD510 Bolero from Superb, but i'm not sure about the battery drain problem. As far as I've read, there should be no problem with the Mk2 Facelift Fabias but need to be sure.

If you do an autoscan it should be under "Address9"....

 

For example:

At "Part no" you'll see 1K0 907 530 S           It's a revision S

 

A 2010 should be well clear of the battery drain issue, it was "cured" on K/L revision onwards (mid 2007)

 

 

 

An RCD510 is not the same as a Bolero, and the Superb Bolero's face is bigger than the standard VW face. A picture of what you're trying to install would be useful.

As far as I've read a few topics here on the forum there are people with Mk2 FL Fabia that have already successfully installed it. By size I think only from Superb 2 (till 2012) will fit, but not from Octavia, as they are wider.
