Nothing that interesting Andy, just the day job ;)

Just checked again....still in Dewsbury  :dull:

Just checked and my account says should be available to collect 17th

It is looking like weekend days are dead days in terms of their delivery schedule so a Friday 14th drop off will likely take until Tuesday to be available, not the worst but not next day either.

I am watching all of your deliveries on my p2g account too.

Nothing that interesting Andy, just the day job ;)

Must say Mark with all the travelling you do you must have an Intresting Job

Have a Safe Trip

I have yours Andy

I have yours Andy

Cheers Chris, see you Saturday

Picked up the package this morning on the way to work. Hopefully trying them out on Sunday. :)

I think I've been given the wrong tracking number. According to the one that I was given, my delivery has been signed for in Charnwood, Leicestershire, nowhere near where I live. Anyone got a tracking number where the parcel has arrived in Bishop Auckland?

I'm thinking the same as well, on tracking numbers. Mine says it was picked up yesterday!

Tried to go collect at lunchtime today; no luck :(

Sent you a PM Steve, tracking number correct, explained in PM but it will be at collection point today.

Replied, thanks. Think there might be more to it than that!

Collected mine this evening thanks.

This still open? If so can the OP drop me a PM?

Thanks.

All arrived safe and sound, thanks.

Edited, duff post think I went to the wrong shop. Boll0x.

Edited again. Been to the right shop now and all is good. Cheers.

Two shops in adjacent towns with the same name! Doh!

Are we sure we cannot eat these, smell sooooo nice,

post-95872-0-76052900-1403110942_thumb.jpg

Went to pick mine up on Monday: shop closed for lunch!

It had changed its name from 'The Sweet Shop' to 'Yum Yums'...

Went back at the time it was supposed to reopen after lunch. And it didn't. Waited 15 mins, still not open and haven't had time to go back to collect it yet.

Bit of a farce, but not your doing Sparkly.

I'll update when I've got it. And car needs a wash at the moment.

Has anyone else had problems at the collection point ?

I went to get mine tonight and they first of all insisted on a delivery card, then when I finally explained why I wouldn't have such a thing they insisted on photo ID.  I didn't have that, so came away empty handed.

Just been on to the UPS Live Chat and they said I should have shown a text - apparently the sender is meant to add the recipients mobile number to the booking so that they receive a text.  There was no mention of  a text in the shop - they were just insisting on photo ID, so not sure whether it would have been any different even if I had the text.

I had no issue, just ID I took my passport! Just said I had a parcel to collect for my name and showed ID.

Used the tracking code to see when the shop had it ready. (OK I went to the wrong shop at first, but as a member of the general public I reserve my right to be thick!)

I did as WookieeM, just took my passport and a bank statement, and a print off from the UPS site and problem sorted. They also thought there should have been a card until I explained it was not an aborted home delivery.

If you check this page out, it should explain what you need to take before you go to collect them. http://www.ups.com/content/gb/en/resources/service/ups-access-point.html

In fairness to Sparkly, he has bent over backwards for me to try and iron out the communication bumps on what must be a very stressful first attempt at doing something on this scale. I know I would have started to lose it long ago if it was me trying to sort this.

All I can say is the gear is worth waiting for and smells soooooo lush :giggle:

I am tryIng to do my best to keep everyone happy here guys, clearly some of you have had issues and most of those I think are resolved or being resolved.

In my defence I posted a link to details on the UPS service in my opening posts and it does say you need photo I.D, sorry if this request was not repeated elsewhere in thread.

I did ask for emails and phone numbers for the UPS updates and I got very few but as I subsequently posted later in this thread I have had all of these directed to my own phone and email so that I can at least have this information ready for anyone who PM's me. The texts only relay the info from tracking number anyway which I think everyone received and most were checking online, they certainly don't negate the need to take photo I.D for collection.

Splooter as best as I can see tracking info was exactly right the parcel is there and with a driving licence or I.D or similar you should be able to collect solely by giving your name, regardless of what anyone in store asks for you do not need a delivery card for this service.

I will admit not all has been perfect I managed to mistype Wardy's postcode and his parcel is having to be redirected for which I have already offered a refund (Steve ver graciously declined providing the parcel shows up), but if anyone feels that the service has been particularly bad I extend the same offer to you.

As I have said above it may just have to be that for the next GB I will have to charge separate postage for anyone who wants to take part and send Royal Mail 2nd class parcels. It will be a shame as I wanted these samples to be available at pocket money cost as a bit of fun and doing this will mean anyone wanting a single sample will pay closer to £8.00 rather than £4.00. Not what I really wanted but it will certainly make things easier for me.

Anyone else having issues please drop me a PM

Thanks for that - I asked the UPS Live Chat person if they could direct me to where the collection info was on their website, but she said it wasn't on there, and that I just needed to show the recipient text, and sent me a link to the booking page which asks for the recipients number.

Cheers Sparkly, I obviously should have read the first page again and gone armed with my passport.  Will try again today.

The UPS Live Chat person said I just needed the text to collect the parcel, so they obviously don't know what they are talking about.  I guess if it's cheap, you get what you pay for.

Mark, this is a REAL shame, this appealed to me as you stated "Being able to try a range of products at "pocket money" prices".

I think the main issue is that unless you have received from P2G before, it can be a less than straight forward process to follow and they do have the occasional delays BUT, that said, it DOES keep costs down!!

I would be most happy to buy from you again (as I have many times before) and I would prefer the cheaper (if a bit slower) delivery option.

No issues for me, considering the quality of the products and the ridiculously cheap prices I think you've done us all a favour.

Thanks for all your efforts Sparkly.

Again much thanks from me. I'd call these teething problems which are to be expected. Now we all.understand the process better should be fine next time!

Might be worth having a little collection guide at the start of each GB to guide anyone in the future.

But again, thanks for all the time and effort Mark!
