  • Sounds like you need another Fabia.                   A nice bathroom green one.

Neighbour just asked me how the Fabia 4x4 project was going! Just because he saw the arch gap! Had to correct him :(

If you put an engine in it will close the arch gap. Why isn't the engine in yet?

Right plans for The two Fabia's

The blue one :

Strip engine bay and lose as much front end weight as possible and sling an engine in it!

The Fantasy Green Fabia :

Remember to book a transporter for it somewhen in the next week :)

Bluetooth stereo for phone calls,

Maybe cruise control

Was looking at xenons until I saw the cost

Dual fog light mod

Ohh and repair and vic test of course :dull:

Were you looking at factory Xenons or projector lamps + aftermarket HIDs?

Started work on the Ibiza today (told the girlfriend I was preparing some bits for sale... which just happened to be attached to the rest of the car :P), nearly got the engine out already! Such a doddle...

Factory xenons but at £200 per light I thought NO I'll just out some Osram night breaker bulbs in! Disconnecting the ancillaries doesn't take long at all :)

Think I'd just go after market. Got them on the Celica in the factory projectors.

I've not really got that far :( Just got the bonnet/wings/bumper/lights off so I can try and sell them.

Ahh right :) still looking for a cordoba?

Don't think I'm going to get one... too rare.

Got a few Fabia's on watch at the moment. Need to get rid of the Ibiza first really.

Oddly enough many of the Fabias on ebay sell, but are relisted, I suspect shill bidding.

Not in a hurry, will be come Feb/March time :) Want to get one with some MOT left on it, hopefully so there will be enough left that I can do test drives, get an exhaust made etc before getting it tested.

 I've got MOT until May :) although I've heard changing it with DVLA can take a few weeks! Have you got 312mm already?

Is that an old seatbelt you are using as a sling? lol

The bloke who sold it to me is using an old seatbelt! Lol

It's going straight to my engine builders as I'm busy with a CVH engine at the moment! I use 5t straps for my engines :)

You will be surprised at how strong a seat belt is!

I see it has no throttle body. What about a turbo?

With turbo! No throttle body and no loom but a good price :)

I know the previous stag owner used a JCB and a seatbelt to remove the engine

Nothing wrong with a seatbelt for engine removal! :D

:)

I've used them and they seem strong enough ;) stripping more off of my Fabia tomorrow! Exhaust and under bonnet stuff etc!

you think they can hold a 100kg person with a deceleration of 30g in a crash thats the same as 3000kg load when stationary.

I dont know of any road cars with a 3 ton engine lol
