Yes, Dan's one cost £1,000 with only very minor damage, so keep your eyes open...

And don't buy my Polo GTI. :D

You've seen that one on there too? I was avoiding as the damage on the rear wheel I was worried would've damaged the beam

Right I need to calm down get a decent working car as a daily and slowly plod on with this project without rushing it as perfection takes time ;) so I'd better hurry up and get some more quotes to move this FGF

£1000 may seem quite a bit but by the time all the bits you don't need are sold, you're probably left paying £200-300 + transport for what you needed. Trade off between money up front and hassle selling, or hassle buying all the different bits and then not knowing if they are 50k parts or 150k parts... I'm going to be swapping lots of bits out that I didn't have to, simply to utilize the lower mile parts.

As a starter project I'd not be doing it without the Ibiza (or similar) donor...

Probably out of your time scale Jack, but if the car I buy to use as the recipient has a disc setup you'll be first on the list for it.

i valued my octy vrs at 2K used the bits i needed and sold the rest off and made about a grand easy back so even a more expensive donor could pay off

My dad is a professional driver of 54 years of age with 20 years no claims and they had no problem with him insuring it at a cost of £300 and then putting a named driver on :) so it might become a road weapon not that I could drive it daily
