I've done a bit of spraying! Started at 15 on an old Stag that was mostly just small section repairs!

All got to learn somewhere. I would love to learn how to wet sand.

Out of interest whats exactly involved in the change? (sorry for the ignorance) never seen / heard of this done before just intrigued :) . i take it the 1.8T is a 1.8turbo engine you are intending on fitting?

Urmm ecu + loom + engine and gearbox, ibiza driveshafts rewiring dash clocks that's all I can think off but then it's the handling mods

Jesus, quite a haul then.. gonna keep tabs on this one should be interesting :D

2 days in and 80kg saved! Barely even started any hard work!

Nice work...! I'm off to figure out how to remove some of these things from my car to save some weight...;)

It pulls out mostly all I needed was a 10mm spanner a pozidrive screwdriver and a spline but for passenger seat! The rest pulls out pretty much just need to Hoover the 250g of muck out the car ;)

Well thanks to James I on Dark heroes thread who has pointed out to me just how light the car is that I will likely be over braking and have dead brakes with this PB Brakes kit so I've decided to go 312mm on front and 256mm on the rear might still consider PB coilies

Sorry to see the Fabia died, but the revival will be epic :)

Thanks Ben I think I should be alright as I'm fairly able! Practically however I might have to give Taylor93 a shout to see if he wants to do the wiring in return for beer tokens!

nice one, the only thing i will say is try and get the engine from a mk4 ibiza if you can because anything from a mk4 golf or alike has a completely different engine mount bracket which took me two months too source because no one was willing to sell it me. Also the gearbox bracket is different. The engine mount bracket also had to be modified to fit because the can belt tensioner is slightly different on the BJX engine (mk4 ibiza) from the AUQ i used in mine. A BJX or similar inlet mani helps as well because its a stupidly tight fit with the golf platform one

So a BJX is the engine to go for!

in a sense yeah but the prices of them are much higher than say a AGU or AUQ. Just see what you can find at the time. Looking forward to seeing it

I'm picking up some 312mm brakes on the way home :)

good choice get the 256mm as well, the stub axles are different on the drum braked fabs to the disc braked ones so if you do go down that route get another rear beam something which i should have done looking back

Picked them up from a breaker for £70 :) bit of meat on the pads and discs! I'm not painting them as I want the car to look well used
