Depending on when and where it's going to be used. Maybe a clean power steering bottle could be used

Yes I'm thinking of putting it just behind front lights up against the wing! I'll see :)

Not got as much as I wanted to do this evening done! Decided I couldn't be bothered to get the engine out tonight so I've removed the lower dash and all front trim and carpet and am now struggling with the upper dash which is a PITA keep on fighting it though :) then it's just patching over the sunroof and the interior weight loss is over!

Think of the weight distribution! :D

Well I've already started on a boot battery mount! I'm just doing things and seeing how it goes no schedule and no set plans so it could end badly but shouldn't! I got radical as well today and threw away the magic tree!

Grrrr chatting to SWMBO apparently a Skoda "cannot be fast" this was after having read a BossFox build thread and the brands hatch video! So another aim of this project is to convince her and also scare the hell out of her ;)

Battery in spare wheel well lower down, right over the rear beam and no spare wheel

Exactly I've found a battery bracket from an old BMW E 34 that I'm using as they have batteries in the boot!

Rain stopped play today :( upper Dash will stay in as it's a PITA with little saving on the weight side of things, the airbag will get removed though! Now it's just the headlining and stuff!

Sounds like you are doing a cracking job stripping it out! Ive slid the dash forward before to pack out a mount with foam tostop it from ccreaking but found the steering wheel would need to come off to get the dash out. So I just squeezed my hand into place.

IMO you should remove the dash. Makes it easier to strip out unwanted cabling too ;)

That's enough persuasion to remove it, it will either get done before work in the morning or afterwards! There's not much at all left in the interior at all! Looking forward to where it really starts to happen! The switches like hazards light will go in a little pod with the light switch :)

Remove the heater and fit a little Motorsport one to keep the windows demised.

Got to be a nice weight saving there. :)

Heated rear windscreen might go eventually when the lighter boot lid arrives :)

Cheers Richard another job for the list! I'm enjoying all of this quite a lot! Still need to make some lightweight door panels! I assume I just run the inlet hose straight to the outlet on the engine?

Lighter boot lid?

I'm calling S & D in worcester who manufacture lightweight fibre glass panel and can make them whether it's a 1 off or an off the shelf part! So I'll see how much it costs, it will get done it might have to wait for the funds though! Smith and Deakins on Blackpole Road Worcester if it's of any use to you for any of your many projects :)
