Have you put all what you've removed on the scales to see what it adds up too?

About 30kg altogether. Also removed the air con pump, rad, associated pipework and condenser etc that was another 25kg!

I completely forgot to update the thread with my tidying the rear loom but... I did that a few weeks back. Got the gf in one the action de-tarring the car too. Tonight I painted it! Really happy with the colour, second coat goes on tomorrow :)

I love this! I saw one of these blast past me in the other direction the other day, and it's been a while since I've seen something look so planted around corners at such speeds.

Is it a daily driver though, or just a toy? (Apologies if you've mentioned it already.) Brave person daily driving without any interior at all!

Thanks mate! Yeah it's such a hoot to drive. Slow in a straight line but the speed you can carry around corners makes up for it.

It's a bit of both. I walk to work and barely drive it because of that. I'm doing 600 miles next week in it though whilst on a driving tour or the lake district and Wales. Cannot wait!

Will upload some pics from the roadtrip! I didn't take that many as I was too bothered about driving. Got loads of footage though so will be looking at that later.

This was from our first campsite in Ullswater, Lake district

Abi with joes airsoft goggles on looked like some really disappointing superhero with the smoke from the bbq behind her

Moving onto wales, the views were pretty unbelievable. This road was fairly scary with the sheer drop off the end at pretty much all times!

At this point a few people had to go home so it was just me, abs, farim and alistair

All in all, it was a ****ing fantastic trip. I did find sleeping in the tent tedious after a bit though as I didn't sleep well which doesn't go down for setting you up for the following day of driving a lot! The roads around wales were incredible though, just every single road was perfect for a well set up clio. really want to go back.

We did the evo triangle too which is something else.

Tonight i've been tinkering holy **** it's 12.22! I feel like a student again.

Got my door cards on. Absolutely beautiful things! I used velcro to stick them on. It's worked really well

Lots of velcro

The plastic covering is still on

Thought i'd go for something different too, people usually use the silver door handles but i'm going for the stealth look

I also fitted the heater properly tonight. I've used nylon stand off washers to space it out due to the angle of the coolant pipes. Think it looks pretty decent too!

Another pic of the door card against the wheel and seat.

Velcro holds it on well, it's nice and straight. Deffo recommend.

I also received my switches from RS so started wiring them up. These have to be DPDT as that's how the window operates. Basically when you flick the switch up and down it reverses the polarity of the wires to the motor which either goes up or down.

All done!

I then tested it to see if it all works, it does as you can see when im pressing it one way the voltage on the LCD display is negative 12v.

29144790162_dda4ebd578_b.jpg20160826_220108 by dann2707, on Flickr

Then flicking it the other way you get positive

It's so handy having a PSU fixed for 12v output for things like this.
