Just gave the car a quick wash. It's slowly creeping up to the 100,000 mile mark but it's still soldiering on :D Pretty pleased with the paintwork overall to say it's 11 years old.

All fitted and over the moon with how they look! They look so much darker on these pics though. I'm going through the process of getting some paint mixed up to spray the bullets the same colour too.

I need to let it all settle then play with the suspension to get the height right as it's high at the moment.

Okay so today has been one of the best days so far in a year with regards to mods!

I removed the seats last night to ease things today and we got started at 10am. Started by fitting the subframes to the seat, I did something very stupidly and got my ratchet spanner caught in the subframe - thought it was quite funny

19620429369_fe81a208c8_b.jpgIMAG0550 by dann2707, on Flickr

Then Dave adjusted the seat runners so that they fitted in the subframes perfectly

Car is on stilts!

19184442734_b9290e3e3e_b.jpgIMAG0552 by dann2707, on Flickr

We then offered the seat in place starting with the passenger side

19811787031_b83ee9a0fb_b.jpgIMAG0554 by dann2707, on Flickr

We then started to remove all the seatbelts as obviously they aren't required #racecar

My very good friend matty also came over, he has a civic type R ep3 with quite a few mods on it and always loves doing car stuff with me so that was awesome that he came over. He doesn't read this forum but cheers dude!

He's also really muscly and pouts his bum awesomely

even more so when I tell him i'm taking a pic of him

19184289064_92829afebf_b.jpgIMAG0562 by dann2707, on Flickr

We then stopped for a bit to have some burgers and onions

but matty had some pasta and turkey sausage because gym gainz

Dave is about to get under the car to tighten the subframes

19185885193_63ea18fa1e_b.jpgIMAG0568 by dann2707, on Flickr

We then fitted the spreader plates underneath the car to allow the eyebolts to stick out to hold the side harness

And then...

I then went gave her a clean and went for a drive to tesco (classic tesco shots sorry)

I never posted the video of me on track! Here it is... Such an awesome day at blyton park. Had lots of braking issues though as the pads kept overheating. Need some decent material in there next track day. The car went very very well

Taken some proper photos of the new coloured bullets - they're the same colour as the wheels now

Cheers for the kind words guys, means a lot! :)

They are Trevor yup

Today I fitted some bumper catches, I love the look of them and didn't know if they were going to look good on mine but I'm really happy with how it's turned out. A bit sceney but we've all got to put our own spin on things :p Took some random pics of the car too as you do.

Erm right so yesterday I went to my main man charlie at CSK fab in york. Properly sound guy who sorted my exhaust out, definitely don't go anywhere else now as he's cheap and does an incredible job and makes sure it's right but also treats you like a friend rather than a customer. I cannot emphasise enough how much I hate garage places that "book you in" and you have to sit in the waiting room watching tv or reading magazines that are stacked high. It makes me feel weird.

So he got me involved, definitely my bag and what I enjoy!!

I fitted a decat as obviously my exhaust died on track at Blyton.

It didn't fit my powerflow exhaust as to be expected so took it to the above place to get sleeved. It now sounds brilliant, no blowing at all and actually not that louder than before.

Took a pic at work the other day, makes me laugh how small it looks compared to the corsa due to the perspective

20192614004_83e345be33_b.jpg20150820_090312 by dann2707, on Flickr

I also fitted some rear powerflex black series rear strut bushes

Not really been able to give it some beans due the weather and the awful awful tyres i've got on there. After the track day i've realised just how bad they are in comparison (I used my 16's with PS3's on there)

Today I went about lowering the steering wheel as it's pretty high with my bucket seats being so low!

Removed the trim to get to the bolts

20822240291_5039465e06_b.jpg20150823_124608 by dann2707, on Flickr

This pic shows the bolt that I removed where the washers will be going to space it out

20194231313_290d135619_b.jpg20150823_124615 by dann2707, on Flickr

I then loosened off the bottom two bolts just so I could pull the column down. Due to the angles, it means that when lowered the holes will not line up so out comes the dremel and I elongated the holes :)

20628513959_09db5b9a8c_b.jpg20150823_132454 by dann2707, on Flickr

I used longer bolts for this step obviously due to the washers taking up more length. Pic just shows the bolt I used. Luckily I had some spare from fitting the buckets

It's literally the worst comparison shot ever but it gives you an indication of the final product.

Seems like i'm not updating this as much lately, I think it's because the majority of the jobs are done pretty much which is perfect as winter is coming for sure.

Start off with a pic in the car park the other day

21160126572_945c805f29_b.jpg20150902_135049 by dann2707, on Flickr

Up in Leeds we had awful rain the other day and I came to the car and realised the light had done this :(

The covers are in place at the back of the units too

21144146476_1b4ab791c3_b.jpg20150905_150001 by dann2707, on Flickr

I got a hair dryer behind and dried it out although it's left some water marks in there. I've just come to it now and it's done it mildly again :( Really annoyed as it ruins the look of the whole car

Did a few odd jobs today whilst I had some free time. After Blyton Park the brakes looked like this, they were silver at the start of the year

21144138226_d42c9650b7_b.jpg20150905_152018 by dann2707, on Flickr

The rear brakes were collecting rust on the edge of the disc like so

20982464118_da2c50b25a_b.jpg20150905_153924 by dann2707, on Flickr

so I wire brushed it making it a tad neater

21178172371_18f700d922_b.jpg20150905_153927 by dann2707, on Flickr

And out with the trusty wirebrush and hammerite smooth I went over the brakes again

20979597300_09d7d6e1d0_b.jpg20150905_163212 by dann2707, on Flickr

Whilst the wheels were off I gave them a good clean too. They were absolutely filth, haven't washed the car in 3 weeks or so. It might even be 4

Obligatory gay wheel brush shot

Much better

20546681433_8249443acb_b.jpg20150905_162741 by dann2707, on Flickr

I then fitted the wheels

20979710368_a77c03ecda_b.jpg20150905_180543 by dann2707, on Flickr

21167621835_e390b3dfe5_b.jpg20150905_180553 by dann2707, on Flickr

Tempted to paint the lips of the rear discs in hammerite now actually as you can see the rusty edges.

Also I noticed that one of the rear strut nuts wasn't as tight as i'd like. So I nipped it up. It looked like this before

20981102159_407c745a4b_b.jpg20150905_154145 by dann2707, on Flickr

Now it looks like this

21170396775_802a7f0c04_b.jpg20150905_154148 by dann2707, on Flickr

HOWEVER, only one of them goes this far, the other won't budge and is like the initial pic so this is confusing me. What is wrong? surely they should tighten up the same amount?

I got my michelin pilot sport 3's fitted. Can tell already that they feel much more direct that the uniroyals I had on before, and that's whilst still needing to be scrubbed in.

I shortened down my linkage a few weeks ago by cutting the filtration module down slightly, this helped but I needed it shorter. I can feel the tendons stretching slightly in my arm when going into third indicating it was still a reach away. I wanted it right in front of me having my elbow bent a bit soooooooooooooo. I removed the gear linkage.

This is it standard.

Cutting this amount off seen in the background. I cut slits in the linkage so that it could grip the filtration module

Drove the car back to my house and it feels incredible. Neutral is in the perfect position now too.

Bring on Cadwell next Friday!

A few things left to do prior to that.

- Bought some DS2500 pads from @Korky which he is kindly sending to me before the track day

- Got a sun strip on the way which I'm not sure when I'm going to find time/daylight to do it before the track day

- Need to fit the dashcam to the rear so I get some decent footage at Cadwell

Okay so some pics and a vid from Friday. The vid is at the bottom.

Me and Matty got there very early for the sign on at 7.30, briefing etc only to not be allowed on the track until 12 rather than 9 due to the weather so we talked and had a mooch around looking at other cars.

I was absolutely ****ting myself at the noise test as there were so many quiet cars there and mine was there just burbling away.. but pulled off a gracious 87 with the limit being 105 I think.

24381804631_be3c9a6c92_b.jpg20160115_093519 by dann2707, on Flickr

There were a massive array of cars but first and foremost..

24096432739_c7c93e6a45_b.jpg20160115_093553 by dann2707, on Flickr

It was a very tricky day with the track being very icy.

I had a massive oooopssiieeee at the start of the day obviously where the wheel came off, most likely due to having longer wheel nuts with me running 20mm spacers up front. The cliosport.net boys sorted me out though helping me get Boris back on the track Cheers Nick, Adam and Matty.

I felt like I didn't even have time to work out the track properly / which lines to take and to be in which gear for which parts which didn't help.

24464287705_7db1fbc554_b.jpg20160115_125248 by dann2707, on Flickr

We managed to sort it out HOWEVER, I was missing a wheel nut meaning I couldn't run that side. Luckily Adam had some spare wheel nuts but this meant I could only run side without a spacer and the other with. Which really reallllllllllllly messed up the handling. I could brake and it would throw the car right and probably what caused me to spin the two times as these occurred swiftly after the wheel issue.

I could have left it at that and gone home but I wanted to make the most of the day.

24464282605_600b968802_b.jpg20160115_134630 by dann2707, on Flickr

Spinning into the grass wasn't ideal and gave me a nice covering of grass

The following day it snowed, Boris looks bad without wheel spacers

23837532343_3dc3423e0f_b.jpg20160117_121015 by dann2707, on Flickr

I then took it to get cleaned as I wasn't prepared to do it myself. the battery died in the forecourt though which was very embarrassing

24356031282_e509d6ccb8_b.jpg20160117_124708 by dann2707, on Flickr

And here is the video. Memorable and fun moments and not so fun:

Spin at Chris Curve chasing down a yellow Evo @ 1:30

Wheel coming off @ 2:08

Another spin at Chris Curve @ 6:35

Lift off oversteer that I managed to control woo @ 7:55

Overall it was a fairly stressful day especially with the low sun in our eyes at every given opportunity completely hindering progress. But I felt like I learnt a lot about the car.

And Boris lives on Bitchezzzzzzzzzzz

Track day from last week. Was so so fun. Got the 2nd fastest time too.

Managed to beat the other clio there too this time, we had a bit of jokey rivalry last year as we kept beating each others time but I took it this year!

Here are the pics taken by my biking mate Duncan, he's unbelievable with a cam.

Up to date at last!

Great updates and bad updates. Knew nothing about the wheel coming off! What a bad day. Glad you got it back on its feet/wheels.

You going to FCS at castle Combe?
