Has any one got a very basic step by step (idiots) guide to the removal process of the pre-cat?

 

seen people talking about it but not fully competent without instructions and I don't wanna be breaking anything! Trying to get every gain possible without spending mega bucks!

For the R&R look for a guide to fitting a performance DP.  There are heaps out there. 

 

Here's a really complicated one that probably has too many steps but you'll get the idea.

 

Remove the cat media by belting it out with a big screw driver, pry bar or cold chisel.  Remove the heat liner by prying out with a big screw driver or pry bar.  I assume none of this is asbestos based in this day & age but wear a mask anyway & dispose of thoughtfully.  Give the DP a good shake or a blow out so that there aren't any loose bits floating about.
