A WARNING ABOUT SUPER SKODA ORDERS!

Featured Replies

Dear all,

just to say that I have been having fun with buying from SuperSkoda.

I have ordered several things from them. The first consignment arrived fine. However, sadly, they have made a mess of the second and third order by sending the paperwork for the two orders together but forgetting to enclose the second order in the box, which was for a yeti badge supposed to be within the box for the first. Joy.

It has now been three weeks, and because they have a delivery confirmation for the second box consignment they assume that the third order was with it, which it was not.

So now it is like wading through treacle to get any replies or common sense from them, because they just do not want to know. It is possible that the parcel was opened up by customs and someone has stolen the part. However, I think that that senario is less likely than just forgetting to put the part in the box.

It may be cheaper, but if anything goes wrong then you are well and truly scuppered. Not only do have the language issue but also the distance issue. The listed telephone number does not ring through so, if THEY make a mistake, there is not a lot you can do about it.

Thank God it was only an order for £25 and not for more that I was going to order once I had tested that they could do the job without the parcel going awol.

Just a warning to one and all. Be careful how you order your goods from Superskoda, do one thing at a time, and recognise that there is an element of risk involved.

Ho, hum, well I have got that off my chest now. I hope that it may add some caution to prospective purchasers.

I will now order the other bits direct from the main dealer and put the rest down to experience.

If, any low flying pigs go past and I manage to get this resolved satisfactorily I will update!

:)

joy.

I used them once and although 99% of the order was right, it was missing a part. I gave up tyring to get it sorted and took it as a loss.

Would I order from them again? Maybe but so far I've used ebay or just gone without.

Maybe people though have had very good experiences with them.

Thankfully my recent order was fine.

In fact... excellent service, 5 days from ordering to delivery

guess I was lucky

I had have had a mixed bag  a couple of orders were fine, their problem is communication, they never reply to emails, when i had my Octavia I was one of the 1st to order the chrome surrounds as here  DSC00093.jpg I waited 6 weeks and after 5 emails I opened a dispute with paypal about them , money refunded in 10 minutes, then when I reordered I got it in ten days, no explenation, nothing, these days i can get 10% off at Skoda main dealers and between 10 and 15 at VW, you just get pally with main guy on parts and remember their name and dont mess them about by getting part numbers and ordering elsewhere, say you recomend them on a forum and they look afer you , less stressfull and as cheap in the long run

re the language issue if you are knowingly buying from a French company in France then the problem with the language barrier is you not communicating in French. Otherwise pay more and buy from an English speaking country.

Looks to me like they Understand English

Ok, well this is an update. Finally managed to get a meaningful response that they have recognised the error, after three weeks of my communicating with them.

I know exactly what they did. They forgot to pick the parts for the second order stapled underneath. A straight forward mistake to make and one that can be easily verified by checking the stock! So now they have promised to send me the missing part and I am hopeful that this will all end positively. Time will tell.

Meanwhile I have had to curtail my buying due to a disagreement with HMRC about a fictitious £11,000 they have accrued to my income for which they want the tax. This is despite them recognising it is an error on their part!!!!!!!

GRrr.

Muppets.

I asked if I could have the £11,000+ in the first place to make the repayment from, which they did not take kindly to.

So once I have had written confirmation about their intransigence, I think I will be off to my MP to let him have a talk with them, as they are not listening to me!! In the interim I have to make a direct debit payment every month to pay it off.  Well it is one way of stopping spending my own money. I hope I will get it all back in the end, or else you can read about it in the national press!  I don't do patient and quiet about injustice, apparently. THis is going to take months to finalise as it started back in Nov. when they ignored my personal declaration made June 2013!!

On the up side of life. I have found that if you use liquid black shoe polish, the silicone type, squeezed onto  a lint free cloth makes a good job of smartening up the black plastic on the roof rails!

Any suggestions for what the best tyres to buy for a skoda yeti. Currently I have goodyear optigrip which are fine.

going on holiday with the caravan so it is for a few weeks without wifi and longer before I get back here again.

I've had no issues with my one experience of SuperSkoda, everything came as promised and on time. My colleague was also very happy: they happily ordered in a set of 4x new OEM rims for him, for his new 2014 Octavia, and with shipment included, it cost significantly less than half of the dealer cost here in Finland. That was around a €600 saving, so not to be sniffed at...

The problem with online and/or distance buying is that when it goes wrong, it gets very hard to resolve, but PayPal can help, if you want to pay for the service it offers.

Hi sorry to tag on to an old topic but has anyone got any other contact details other than the email address they have on their website and the phone number which doesn't work I've ordered £355 worth of parts on the 22/06/20 and apart from an order confirmation email I've not had anything else from them I have emailed 4 times and heard nothing back any help would be great. Thanks

I've seen your other posts and would suggest waiting a while longer. It is only 8 days after all.

From experience, things don't always go smoothly and I seem to recollect contacting a Dutch agent who finally resolved my problem.

I wouldn't mind waiting if I knew I was going to get my parts but for a company to not respond to their customers it's not good enough and if I'd of read the reviews for superskoda before I had ordered maybe I wouldn't have bothered. Thanks

I’ve used Superskoda for years and apart from lack of communication I’ve always received items but even in normal times don’t think I’ve ever received anything in a week as your hoping for.

Last email I had from them informing me of their summer sale dated 25th June stated delivery times could be 3-8 weeks.

One or two folk on here moaning shouldn’t put you off, and just be a bit more patient I’m sure you’re stuff will arrive, just not in the timescale your expecting.

I'm not hoping for my items in a week I'd like some sort of communication and reassurance that they are dealing with my order I work in retail and I know how much of a delay we have on posting items out but we keep our customers informed it's not to much to ask. Thanks
