Will it breakdown half way around? LOL. At present considering selling my PD130 Ibiza.. still keep my Octavia VRS mk1..... but who knows what the next car will be... something for work if I'm going to drive around a lot or if I keep same job a more sorted VRS maybe.... Did look at that Clio Mk1 that was selling a while back.... that looked lovely but was petrol....... ahhhhh decisions to be made and I'm like Danny in that score try and factor in all equations does kind of delay me from time to time. Missed out on more than one car that way. :(

Yeah been keeping an eye on the white one, the only off put is the high mileage on it... and that's cos I'm thinking with that over analysing brain of mine... injector issues etc. that it keeps worrying about. On one job I'll be doing 20-30k a year so need a comfy diesel... the other staying same mileage as now, give or take which is 10-14k so a smaller more fun car would be in order. :)

PD is a solid lump and if they go time for some +120% injectors

He'll, I'd even throw in Pasty's engine, clutch, gearbox, driveshafts and hubs to get another parking space back!

No, I used those.

Right, I made a enquiry with the RAC. To them if your on private land they class that as a safe zone and will not come to the rescue. So brands is out of the question.

However, if my car won't start on my friends drive would I be able to get assistance?

Yes!

But I argued that it's then on private land to which the operator was speechless.

Asked about recovery from a track day and was told no I'm not covered there as it's private land (safe zone) and don't require assistance!

Tow to the entrance it is then. :D

Weird that. What if you were in the car park as a spectator?

Because I've been on a trackday before and someones rear brake caliper destroyed itself. The AA man came into the paddock and tried his best to bodge it back together to get the man home.

Mixed messages from the different services here.

Worst comes to worst, get someone to tow you to the road outside and then call them. You are still on a public road, even if they and you know you were on the track.

The private land bit is cobblers.   If you breakdown in a shop car park or at you work they will attend.    The exemptions are usually if you've been off road or on a race track (trackdaying of course).

Having said that, I've been to a Renaultsport Trackday at Bedford and there were 3 broken down Clios on the perimeter road awaiting attendance by the AA & RAC.

If it goes bang I will just push it out the gate, into a hedge and give them a call! Haha

 It will be long push   from the track to the A20, especially uphill going through the pit tunnel.

Didn't think of that!!!

Spoken to skippy about it as I will be going back to his after the day. If anyone needs assistance we will tow to the petrol station down the road and call from there. It's somewhere to get a drink or food and safe to wait to be recovered.

Would be sure to get out of the track quickly!!

I'm just thinking if it does go wrong it's a very very very good excuse to make it faster!

well if the engine is in bits... it would be rude not to upgrade bits, just dont do it at the actual track XD
