Build times ?

Featured Replies

That would definitely make more sense but from what we've seen in the Spanish forum it's the more basic models that get later dates, who knows why!

The Xtreme 19" alloys aren't even an option in Spain at the moment, it's strange how some things are available in some countries and others aren't!

  • Oh, I dunno... delivering to the North Sea may well take a little extra time

  • 19 weeks from order (vRS wagon) for me. Deposit paid 22nd of April and I pick it up (finally) on Tuesday. At least I know it's in the country now, dealer emailed to let me know it was safe, well and a

  • Ordered last week of March, built middle of June (just after MY15 production started), pick it up on Monday...   First time in a very long time I'll be wanting the weekend to go quick and get to Mon

They are probably building loads of SE models and everyone is ordering Elegance & vRS LOL!

Drives me nuts! I really want ACC.

Change your order to an L&K while you still have a chance :)

It was built 4 days ago!

Never mind - I'll email you a photo of my ACC when I eventually get the car

A copy of your coding would be more useful ;)

Not a problem :)

You thinking of retrofitting ACC? - brave!

Defo doing reversing camera, depending on cost of the radar, controller and new stalks I may do ACC. I used it A LOT on my Audi so know I will miss it.

I have a funny feeling component protection will kick in and it will need a dealer to activate it.

My dealer is pretty cool... See how we go!

Out of interest, when you get told a build date is that usually near the actual date, or do they quote a build date 4 months in the future?

If you succeed to retrofit the ACC you need the dealer as the radar must be calibrated, most Skoda dealers don't invest (not mandatory for Skoda well for VW) in the equipment, mostly done by a VW dealer, here in B the ACC is standard on the G7 from the level confortline.

Seems to be about 3 weeks ahead at the moment.

I was quoted a build week of week 34 a week after I ordered in June but that changed to week 36 a few weeks later and that's now confirmed so it should be built in the next few days (excited!!!). But I was using trackmyskoda.com to get my info from but I'm told not every dealer uses that. I'd be lying if I said I haven't sat there refreshing the page hoping it would change and the build week get closer !!

You'll get an estimated week that will move fwd/bwd at some point after you order and then 2-3 weeks before it gets built it gets locked.

But they wiped out a load of the estimated build weeks when the factory closed for the 2 week August holiday - some got pushed out to 2015!

It's ok I know the master mechanic at my local Audi so they'd be able to calibrate it for me as I'm pretty sure they have the tool there. On Sat afternoons they let the mechanics use the workshop for their own/private work.

ACC is standard on the higher level Golfs as well here in the UK.

It's standard on everything from the SE, which means that it's only not standard on the S.

If mine turns out to be 2015 then I'm cancelling the order and buying something else. It's not a Ferrari!

They only pushed them out so that they could reallocate them when the factory opened again

Our dealer told us that the higher specced it is, the quicker it's built and from what we've heard from other buyers it seems to be like that.

That's Deffo not true I only just got allocated a build week after my order was accepted in may and I have most of the options

Been waiting on a build date since July here, also (SE estate 1.4TSI). The dealer said the order's no further on than the day they entered it onto the system in July and Skoda have just said 'check back later' twice now already. Yawn. :(

That's the situation i'm in for a 2.0TDI Blackline, except the order was placed first week in August.

Think I waited 3 months before I got an estimated build week!
