Hi. I have just ordered a new Yeti 170bhp DSG 4x4 Outdoor Elegance. It replaces, or will when it arrives, a 17 month old Tiguan.

The main reason for change is the pano sunroof on my Tig was replaced at 3 months, 13 months and the signs are there for it needing replacement again! It seems the subframe is the problem.... A tragic state of affairs for a £950 option. Also I'm fed up hitting my head on the tailgate as it doesn't raise high enough when open.

I needed an automatic vehicle with plenty of headroom and legroom as I'm 6'7". I've tried many auto variations and reckon the DSG cannot be beaten. My wife disagrees and likes a three pedalled car with one of those wiggly sticks which you keep having to move up and down!

The Yeti also has far better brakes than the Tig.. Much sharper.

Now it's just wait and anticipate the new arrival.

Thanks Robjon I'm sure I will. The Yeti is a bit more compact than the Tig and the turning circle is unbelievable. Now I just have to be patient any await delivery.

Thanks John999boy. I really loved the Tig and in some ways I wish I hadn't been so impetuous and ordered a Yeti as a replacement. However I'd been very patient with the roof probs and to be honest it was getting me down.

There must be thousands out there which are perfect but mine was just a worry.

I think your Tig looks excellent in white with the contrasting black roof. Mine was Titanium Beige and to be honest wasn't a patch on the white..... That's why I ordered a white Yeti.

I'm getting a lot of good tips from this Forum, just as I did from the Tig forum.
