It's insurance time again and as usual the range of quotes is ridiculous.

Lowest so far is Egg at

Tesco seem to be the cheapest so far for me! Give them a try on www.tesco.com. Go to the finance section and you will find the insurance online form there. :cool:

Direct Line - I found them to be the cheapest.

Tesco WERE cheap for me, but turned ugly when I started modding my car. Thankfully, switching to More Th>n saved me a shedload of dosh, and they're mod-friendly - just engine changes they need to be told about. :thumbup:

Try Direct Choice on the Net, were the cheapest of all the options available, and the policy is with Equity Red Star - dont believe their web quote , phone them as the difference for me was @

try putting your details into

www.confused.com this online facility auto gets quotes from a lot of the online insurers and saves you a lot of work on the keyboard.

Adrian, did you actually call Liverpool Victoria or just use the online quick quote?

For me, the quick quote shows a range slightly cheaper, or the same as my last renewal, and as they dont charge for mods, it would be worthwhile for me.

As for confused.com, they refused to quote me online...

The other thing with LV is that they cover for high mileage with no addition to the premium. I specifically asked and the guy said no problem.

How else could a new Octy RS cost the same to insure as my previous 6 year old Astra Sport ??

Don't forget though the bulk of your insurance charge ain't for covering the car against theft, it's to cover the possible injuries to third parties (both drivers/pedestrians and cars). If you ran someone over and left them disabled then its the insurance company that forks out the
