vRS - Going to dealer tomorrow

Featured Replies

Yeah they have a good team at henrys. I'm waiting on my new vRS being built should get it near the end of October.

With respect, Audi / BMW / Mercedes are all massively overpriced.  Massively.

Plus, be honest, would YOU drive a BMW given the stigma attached to being a driver?

Rubbish

Plus, be honest, would YOU drive a Skoda given the stigma attached to being old mans rubbish motors.

P.S I drive both ;)

18mm ply... what are you going to put in the boot... another car?

6mm will be more than enough unless you regularly stack the boot with enough building material to put up a small extension!

Haha so true! I've got a 6mm bit of ply in mine and it does the trick, I've had bricks and logs in mine. Feel like I'm abusing it a bit sometimes

Yeah. Its positioned on the left of the centre console, nearer the passenger seat thus suiting LHD cars

The MK7 GTD and vRS (and Leon) share the same centre tunnel moulding.... so your current electric handbrake button it also on the "wrong" side  :D

If you'd grown up in the 80s as I did, the stigma attached to Skodas (and Ladas) was a darn sight worse than just being "old mans rubbish motors".

The fact that I've spent £25k on one shows the massive leap forwards Skoda has taken.

Haha I remember the jokes my dad used to tell me.

How do you double the value of a skoda?

Fill it up etc. :)

As well as the handbrake, the interior that's been mentioned, also is the bonnet release - that's on the left too.  Irritating to say the least.

But cleverly done, won't work unless the door is open.

My point is simple. It's on the wrong side.

These on the left things. Meh it's not car manufactures fault that the majority of the world drive on the right is it. Seriously how often do you pop the bonnet anyway?

Not so clever when I want to open the bonnet when the car is in the garage & not enough room to open the passenger door to get access to the boot release handle.

Very nice the hatchback has grown on me. Enjoy the new car

I've had 8 heavy bags of cement sand and hardcore in the boot of the Octy 3 estate. And it didn't even phase it.

Please refrain from taking photos outside fastfood outlets. Makes a cracking car look chav. ;). Enjoy her.

Decent motor. Lousy parking. :x

Ha, never realised this, well you learn something new everyday!

Same here. Then again the handbrake on my motorhome is on the right of the drivers seat ( between the seat and the door) and I've never found that to be a problem.

Wait, wait. I'd understand this comment if you were buying a cheap chinese appliance but on a car that costs over 20k? The -least- I expect is a proper conversion for my vehicle. The difference in cost must be absolutely minimal when worked out to scale. How did they manage before they decided to start cutting corners?

I did buy a cheap white goods appliance. It is a Skoda after all. As it turned out it was much cheaper than the Korean offerings.

It's a lot of car for 20k IMHO :)
