Check out Tins or Drivethedeal for online brokers - many people have used them on here. At the very least you could use quotes from them as leverage against your local dealer.

As you'll have read there's a definite difference of option here.

My dealer said exactly the same as yours when I asked the question. In my case I already had a set of rear parking sensors won in a raffle and was merely wanting him to fit them. He also cited the double construction of the bumper as the problem.

They were definitely NOT an official Skoda option when I bought my car (late 2004). It's only more recently that the text posted above suggesting they can be fitted has appeared. I don't recall anyone posting here that they've had this as a factory fit option.

The question is: "Do you really need them on a Fabia since it's only a small car?" Hence I didn't try fitting them myself although others have succeeded. Then I reversed into a bollard...

6000 pounds for my 2.0 brand new. The vRS Fabia would be priced at about 6500 pounds brand new here.

When I bought my car post March 2005 they weren't a factory option and I still don't think they are. I just called my dealer who confirmed that as far as they are aware they are in fact dealer fit on the vRS.

I quoted a fitted price of

Cost price is 11600 for a standard one according to the invoice I saw sat on the dashboard of one at the weekend , so the closer you get to that the better you have done
