The Ferrari break clause was only added this year - Alonso asked di Montezemolo for it - but after finding no Merc seat available he wanted to stay...

 

and then he was allegedly p*ssed off when Mattiaci activated the break clause!!

Yes likelihood is that McLaren will retain Button to partner Alonso, not a bad lineup to be fair.

Presume they will also announce team sponsor, although they still haven't announced title sponsor for 2014 !!!!

Good news for JB. I wonder how much, if any, influence Honda had in that decision as they've previously worked with him at BAR.

If he's wrong it's easy just to pull the story from the BBC Sport website, if he's right it's "Wow what an exclusive you had there..."

 

I think he's just made a story up out of a hopeful guess to be first with the "news".

Playstation competition winner, Jann Mardenborough should be on F1 teams shopping list surely?

 

Today in Formula Nippon Testing the order was:

 

1 Kobayashi (F1 driver)

2 Mardenborough

3 Sato (F1 / Indy driver)

4 Leimer (GP2 champ)

5 Nakajima (F1 driver)

6 everyone else

 

clearly capable of playing with the big boys - but he's contracted to NIssan so probably in their WEC team for next year - after that F1?

 

Its about time there was a fifth Welsh F1 driver (the last being double podium finisher Tom Pryce d.1977)
