An open letter to all mk3 wagon owners. Is it me or is it really hard to find wheels that look really good. I’m finding not a lot of wheel options give the Octavia wagon the ‘wow’ factor. 8 times out of 10 it’s a bit meh.

Compare this to a Golf Mk7 where 8 out of 10 aftermarket wheels look fabulous.

Greetings from Serbia. Current setup :):

They definitely are a hard car to pick wheels for. especially the FL as the front end seems to swallow them up. Have to be v low to pull a lot of them off

Hello everyone, I'm really worried about to know if 19 wheels 9.5 et45 with 235/35r19 will fit without rubbing, what do you think?

No these were without spacers

Hi guys,  I need to buy winter wheels and I think i'll get hankook icept evo3 225-40 18" but I must choose the rims.

I really like the Borbet Y and the BS5. Are Borbet good rims?

How about Carmani, CMS, Dezent, Alutec, Rial?

basically my budget is under 150 euros at rim so these are the brands I can afford.. if you know others better at that price let me know.

Right now my car sits on the Xtreme 19" with 225-35 P-Zero.

Out of the list you have I'd put borbet and rh at the top. .

Pretty sure borbet make OEM wheels for some manufacturers aswell, or they did in the 90s.

thanks man, unfortunately it seems I can only equip wheels with ECE certificate or NAD that is some italian bull****. Borbet Y don't have that, infact only a very small part of the wheels actually sold in italy have that. go figure. So my options are limited to a handful of rims.

needed to try my new 18 inch rims to see what it looks like. Very satisfied. had 19 inches last season but felt it was a bit too bumpy and also wanted a pair of rims that fitted better in the wheelhouse. Perfect fit in my opinion 👌. Now I want summer!

Please can I ask that you use a more normal size font? That huge font scrolls way off the edge of the screen making it much harder to read.

These look nice. These are what I’m looking at for my Metal (Quartz) Grey 2018 Octavia SE Technology, but in gloss black. Planning on fitting some lowering springs at some point too.

Would you please post some pictures looking down the side of the car to show the offset?

Looking at VW Pretoria replicas 8j x 18” et45 in gloss black, or the AYR 02 8.5j x 18” et42 in matte black.
What do you guys think about the fitment of either of these two wheel sets?
Was thinking about fitting 235 width tyres on either of these?

Hi, with new brakes 340mm and lowered 3 cm ( I think...) with stx suspension.

It's 8x18 et 45.

I d prefer something 8.5 x 18 or et 40 by the way

I think that any of those would look great, I had some pretoria replica, but 19" and I loved the result, hope you can get the wheels and share the results here!

I think Pretoria's are one of the best. Or anything that has direction to it also seems to suit.

Just in case anyone wants to have their Xtreme's painted gloss black. Though ultimately would love to have some gloss black Pretoria's and the car lowered.

Like the black Xtremes. Your car looks unusually high though!

Yeh, I am pretty sure it was when the tyre were due for replacement and I then fitted bigger tyres rather than the skinny things that are OEM size. It still looks tall, I have 20mm Racingline lowering springs to fit which hopefully will be on in a few weeks. It's got a full dealer service history and no signs of any suspension work so I just assume the shocks are in good order if they aren't sagging. I also think that better offset wheels would make it look not so high.
