Thinking about it, I'm surprised you haven't heard from the DVLA about your improperly spaced registration numbers as well!

Out of all my plates the only iffy one is YET1, with a slightly smaller gap between the T and 1.

The other day I did get a double take from some police officers, seeing it on a yeti.  But they just smiled.

Not that it's any defence, but there are far, far worse out on the road with letters made to look like numbers (and vice versa) and all sorts.

Good news you've found the guilty dealer though I wonder how long it will be before you get the first NIP for someone else speeding.

It's been on the car for almost two years, this is all I've had so far... :peek:

I was really thinking about the dealer plate being improperly spaced with the ensuing fall out also heading in your direction!  No suggestion of impropriety on your part was intended.

Surprise surprise... it was indeed a Yeti with a dealer YETI plate on, and trade plates on the dash.

Believe it or not, trade plates are ment to be hung over the the original No. Plates or as near to covering them as possible, they should never be inside the car.

But like most things, it doesn't always happen.

I was always told you're only covered between the trade plates :)

So I have been told also.

I wonder if they have a RAP 1 D plate and a FAB 1A plate as well

Last time I checked the genuine FAB1A plate was on a BMW.

Fabian?

Edit:

It's now on a Mini Cooper D.

RAP1D is on a Ferrari 612.

Perhaps if you track him down and point pout he has the name of a Skoda on his Ferrari, he might want to shift it on :D

Yup. A 2013 Mini Cooper D.

Seems only fair that it should be on a fabia

Fair enough on the rap1d. That is genuinly rapid. Where as the skoda rapid is not lol.

so if the dealership is happy enough to have a YET 1 plate (even though the real one is yours) then you wouldn't put it past them to have FAB1A and RAP1D as well, even though they don't "own" those ones either
