Thought I had first issue with Octy but was driver error!

Featured Replies

Parked up the vRS and could get the key out - spent five mines scratching my head, then realised I'd nig quite engaged 'P' on the dsg gear lever - massive pheww / doh moment, as was at the hospital to collect wife and baby so panicked a bit thinking I'd need to leave keys in the ignition in the hospital car park (or wait for rac!)

Probably my jack of auto / dsg experience I guess.

lol it happens sometimes. You probably wont do it again now after giving yourself that little scare ;)

Yeah that's what I thought always learn from mistakes - glad you made sense of my typos also just noticed loads! Couldn't not could, not not nig, lack not jack!!! Lol

Happened to me recently as well, I didnt know what to do, moved gearbox couple of times from N to P and no change... so I restarted the car.

Doesnt look like a driver error to me... how can it be what you said?

Hmm. Sound to me that you had other things on your mind, such as your whole future life changing?

Congratulations to you both on your new arrival ...and drive safely.

When I first got mine, sometimes it didn't seem to want to change gear up, so used manual shift to get to garage. No fault found. Then I realised when I was engaging D, I was actually going to S (sport). Contacted the garage to say all is fine, driver error. IF ALL ELSE FAILS, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Or Real men don't read instructions, etc etc.....
