Drivers door remote locking

Featured Replies

Awesome, thanks!

have bought 2nd hand lock too which was a tear £5! So, will have the old one apart too.

Hmm i have a issue with the passenger door, it seems a mechanical issue oppose a electrical. It clicks and if trying to unlock but it doesn't, you can get lucky and it might work after 20 of so tries.

In the end it was the spade out the back of the lock barrel. Had that replaced and all is good (alas stiff now but works fine)

In order to trace why my mirrors weren't operating I unclipped the electric mirror switch from the next to the inner door handle and found no cable attached to the switch or visible. I assume it's dropped down into the door cavity. If I feel through the bottom of the hole where the switch fits I can feel the back of the door card.

If I remove the door card is the loose cable likely to lie in there and be easily threaded up through the hole and attached to the switch, or does it thread behind the carrier plate and make it necessary to remove that as well?
