Power boot lid closing

Featured Replies

Is it possible to allow the keyfob boot button to also close the boot lid?

Yes but you need to program it via vcds

How does the functionality work?

I.E

First press opens boot.

If pressed again the lid stops before it reaches its end position.

How does the close function operate considering the above conditions?

Is it a case of press and hold?

Cheers

Exactly the same but if you press it again it will close. Basically if it's open and stopped in any position pressing the button again will close it.

Cheers for the information

Just had this enabled by my local dealer this morning.

Unfortunately due to 'safety reasons' they cannot will not silence the infernal beeping... which, if you are closing it remotely means it beeps then also... ah well, at least half of what I wanted was done.

This can be done with VCDS, it's so much better without beep.

Don't think there are too many with VCDS down here tho sadly.

Thankfully there wasn't too much I wanted coding... so 30% is better than nothing & they had the decency not to charge (unlike anything that needs doing on the wife's Peugeot!)

.

Depends where you're based... The mobile site doesn't list that.

I'm sure there's a list of people on this site somewhere

vRSNZ - there are a few across NZ. Spoilt for choice.......

Auckland (New Zealand) = kitset = Micro-CAN

Christchurch (New Zealand) = Simon Cobb = Micro-CAN

Wellington (New Zealand) = RobClubley HEX

I'm most happy to do it if you're in the Auckland area (sorry, can't tell from your profile). Cheers
