Got the car the other day! really happy so fare came from a bmw 330d so I wasn't sure what to expect. Its on 97K full Skoda service history cam belt and pump was done, along with clutch and all the drive train!

 

This only thing I didn't expect after looking a 3 others and now buying this on, the engine sound on tick over! different to what I'm use's to I know I did a video see below.

 

I have took the car to Rtec already lol just to have them check all is good so I'm told! just need a new N80 as the engine light keeps throwing a code up ow ya its not that loud when the cars cold! just hot!

Cheers Mike did you watch the small video I did of the engine sound ??? That normal ??? Very clicky can't really hear it with the bonnet closed tho!

Doesn't sound that odd. TFSI sounds a bit diesely anyway. You've got the cover off which might make it louder.

 

I drove a 330d when I had a TFSI, thought the Octy felt faster.

Sounds about right that mate, mine sounds similar but i have engine cover on. Very nice colour combo any issues with lacquer on rear spoiler seems to be a fault on this model.

 

Mine is off at minute all sanded down ready for painting.

Looking nice, very clean for a 9 year old car!

 

Good to see Climatronic, rear electric windows, jumbo box and 18" alloys on such an early vRS.

 

You have a tail light out, drivers side top. Its the tail/brake light. Did this not flag the blown-bulb warning on the dash?

From around 07 plate onwards jumbo box, rear e/w, dual climate and 18" alloys became pretty much standard fit.

Sounds about right for a TFSi, hint of diseasal about the sound.
