Looking to get a second had gear box for my wagon but unsure on what to buy in terms of compatability. The gearbox on my car is code: GSA. Will I have to find an exact code replacement or can I use another gearbox? Lots of FDN's around. 

Is it a 5 speed?

I know you can interchange the long and short geared diesel vrs boxes with each other

what engine I got a 5 speed out of a 1.4 16v mint condition

It is a 5 speed yeah. Literally just looking to grab one of a similar car and put it in mine. 

Engine is ASY.
