  • ive seen your thread jonezy looks pretty nice and congratulations on the expectancy    is there any tint or 'fly eye' i can do on my back lights?

  • i agree with jonezy car cost me £500 in the end i aint really bothered what i get out of it if i sell it but right now im not looking at selling i want to keep using it with some modification

go better...

Good luck with that, I'm afraid improving the handling is the best you can do, just won't slow down so much once you're up to speed.

thanks :) question this forum wont let me upload a image because their too big how do i get them to 1 kb?

Upload them to photobucket then copy the code in

A good place to get ideas on how to make the car look better would be on the 'Random pictures of your car for no reason' (Or something along those lines, I can't remember the exact topic title) That is on the Fabia mk1 page. It has a few thousand replies and is usually somewhere at the top of the list, have a flick through there and see what you like and what you don't.
Some people like big alloys, lowered suspension and a big blaring aftermarket spoiler on the back. Some prefer subtle tweaks, blacking this out, colour coding that.

As for enhancing the performance of the car, as above; Improving the handling is realistically the only worthwhile modification.

there she is more than standard

needs naming too

Plastidip the grill black, yellow tint the fogs, led sidelights and interior light, decent set of alloys...

wheres the best place to get the tint from? and spray or sheet of film? whats the best option for interior is it new seat (second hand) or a retrim?

Get yellow tint film off ebay, and vrs seats are a good option, or polo 9n seats

ill have a look and is it illegal to tint (smoke) your head light lenses?

For the headlights use flyeye, its legal. Just Google flyeye kit :)

The best mod that ever can be done with a 1.4mpi is to sell it and to get a vRS. Who cares if the body work is 15 years old if it has no rust, at least 130bhp under the bonnet, heated leather seats, xenon headlights with washers, oem navigation and a never ending resource of torque ? :) (that being said by a 1.4mpi owner)  :sun: done

Otherwise, there a lot of little mods that could be done with any car, depending on your *imagination* and how much money you are looking to spend on it. You can make it a pick up fun car, though.  :notme:

I love my little mpi, ive just lowered mine, alloys, octavia vrs seats, wrapped air vents on dash, and a big boom boom sound system haha :) i think thats about alls ive done.

Id love to upgrade to a vrs but cant really afford the price tag that comes with the vrs :( and insurance is a killer on the vrs for me aswell :(

Rear lights can be tinted by spray tint, lamin-x black film or flyeye kit

does anyone know where i can get a hid kit?

Try: www.allshowandnogo.com or www.moretroublethanthey'reworth.com, alternatively just ask MaccyD's to fix the street lighting in the car park.

At last, a worthwhile mod: 195/50/15

what about the 16's for tyre size?

and maccys near me doesnt have a carpark its on the sea front :p

Don't just put a hid kit in your headlights, either get depo projector headlights or retrofit a mini h1 projector (ebay/theretrofitsource)

^^This.

The Fabia has quite enough electrical gremlins without throwing in a load more.

205/45/16, but 16's will slow your already slow car down even more, stick with 15's.
