  • Looking mint as you say Chris, delighted for you :-) I put my colour coded grill on today and still might get the original grill black wrapped for swaps.

  • Im guessing you were using tapatalk?   Had some issues with that recently.   If you want, post details on here now and I can hide these previous posts

Octy brake calipers just need to clean em up and paint red would like to know those what should I replace while they're like this ?

A lot of the guys I know sent them to Big Red iirc and they rebuilt them and sprayed them.

The lads were delighted with the result but I've no idea on costs.

Just Google them

Fitted the roof rails and Thule bike racks for the MTBs.

Got my mate round with VAGCOM and he sorted the anti hijack and also one plip to unlock all the doors.

Brake shields have arrived for the front and they will get fitted when the tracking gets set and the new smaller clear side indicators go on this weekend.

I promise I will start my one thread ha ha but here's mine post-123262-1432668654625_thumb.jpg

Spent some time snow foaming, washing, polishing and waxing the car and it looks amazing.

There is a knocking coming from the steering rack or that area which is hard to sort.

I've changed all the suspension components incl new console bushes and ARB bushes which were the only things I never changed when I lowered the car.

Who knows what the knocking is ?

Bought original new style centre caps as well.

I'm very impressed with the paint what wax have you used ?

And the knocking noise have you changed your top mounts I've heard they can knock when worn

Which badges have you used on yours? I'm looking to get some too, the new Skoda ones.

Chris I've changed everything on the suspension, I'm on holiday just now and the car is at the garage when I'm away, I think it's just something stupid behind the dashboard.

I just used Autoglym super resin polish and Collinite 476 wax which I think is excellent.

I've just bought a G3 Farcela clay mitt which I will use on the car to decontaminate it properly, then Prima Amigo pre wax cleanser, which is meant to be amazing, then either Collinite or Autoglym HD wax.

I'm also looking for genuine, just checking the part number so I get the right one haha! :)

Where did you get the spare grille? How much are they?

Recognise the car with the steelies on and the reg......cant bloody think where tho?!

Livingston or the forth road bridge?! Anyway, beautiful looking car mate

Got the grill already painted from another member on FB for £50 which was a decent price as it was unused since painting.

Think you can get them of eBay or Skoda parts for original ones.

Prob Livi or FRB as I live in Uphall and work in Grangemouth, thanks for the comment.

Cars in the garage just now getting the daft knocking or rattle sorted hopefully ? If not its just turn up the stereo as I'm not throwing more cash at it.

Don't know what to do next ?

Maybe buy 4 x used standard calipers and send them to Bigred to get them rebuilt and coated black ??

Front strut brace but get it powder coated black rather than the usual red ??

Yeah its probably Livi mate, seen it a few times now.

Car is looking sweet!

Rattle is now fixed, I've not got the definitive answer yet but some dashboard fixings were loose and something at the bulkhead ??

I will find out properly later when I hand the cash in but I'm delighted to be rattle free.

Pretty much all suspension now replaced as well as the brakes, fancy reprinting the calipers black but might just buy old ones and get them regurfed properly ?

How do the headlights looks with the Phillips Xtreme bulbs? A worthwhile upgrade?

If my car does not have xenons then I always change to those bulbs as they have the best reviews and they were great with my Type R which had terrible standard lights iirc.
