I know I've been away a while but when did Max come back?

Ok, I've googled now.

2.5 years off.

A bit of "It's only testing...no racing, no, no"

Then fastest in Free practice and 6th place finishes at Misano.

A podium at Sepang.

Genius.

The youngsters should speed up a bit or they'll look silly soon.

Finally caught up with BSB opener from Donington.    Ellison and Linfoot were pretty serious about taking the fight to Shaky weren't they.

He is doing some work for the Sepang circuit I gather.  Must like the hot and humid weather, ouch.  Thought 31-37 C and 75% humidity in Southern Europe was quite hot/humid enough but then he still looks racing weight where as I look more like "Big Hero Six" getting in to my gear.......

Britannia Boys dominating WSB for the first few races of the season, well done Chas, Jonathan, Tom as well as Alex and Leon C, great to good results.

Top three looking very even and tempted to pop along to both days on the BH weekend at Donnington.

If it stops raining in Sepang perhaps we can get on with Race 2.

I wish UK roads were as good as the new Sepang surface which looks brilliant.

Race 1

Brits take top 5 places !!

Thought Lowes might do it mid race, looking very competitive year's racing ahead.

All starts tonight at Philip island !

Shocker.

Jonny Rae burn his tyres out as did VdM.

Well done MM, Tom and Chas.

Could be a good season if new (rev limit) rules do not spoil it.

Shame no proper WSS 300 race, only the 600s, have to wait to them come back to Europe.

What a race.

Marco M winning by 21 thou and wobbling at 190 mph.

Jonny  Rea a brave second.

All had to change tyres half way thru race, like motogp did a couple of years ago as tyres were blistering as only Philip island makes them!

I love watching the bikes but am not a biker so am a little ignorant of specs etc. Are WSB and BSB bikes the same?

Number of subtle differences but both based on road machines we can buy.

It is motogp that is very different with carbon fibre brakes but even then the m1 yam is based loosely on the road bike or visa versa.

Thanks lol-lol. That suggests that BSB top riders could step up to WSB if they had the budget - is that a fair statement?

Supplementary question - any idea how much more expensive WSB is over BSB?

Haslam bounces between both and is competitive in both series though Kwacker seems the best tool at present.

Both several tens of thousands but not like the million for motogp and since supervisors can all within a couple of seconds of motogp that is not bad going.

Even the 600s are pretty impressive with acceleration that would match a f1 to 150 I would reckon

Little R6 video, I am a bit big for an R6 or R1, oddly the R3 is more comfortable thean either its bigger brothers.

Well done Bautista and great to see a new Superbike and rider come in a spice up what has been the Kawasaki-Jonathan Rae show for the last 4 years.

Good showing for Yamaha R1 taking 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Only 55 days or so to the start of the WSB season.  Should be a good one with changes of people in teams.

Hopefully Philip Island is OK with the Ozzy fires by then.

One wishes that F1 could even be half as exciting as this.
