We must meet up in summer for a blast Dave

Cheers John ... I have a number of plans in my head

Alps?

Will Scotland do?

any would suit me :) I often bring mine to brisky meets in the summer, its been to the west midlands meet, and ran both days on the lakes camping trip last year! And I have a new clutch waiting to go in for summer, so this year I can go sideways out of junctions as well as into them ;) (not that I'm a hooligan... noooooo....)

Do I see a MX-5/Eunos Sub Forum starting here? ;)

Probably could do - there's enough of us on here...

As for the hairdresser comments - my favourite trick is to let them make them and then offer to take them out in it - they soon change thier minds after a quick blast...   :D

I agree with that statement, got taken out in a MX5 with a turbo, now rates amongst the most fun I have had in a car.

Doesnt bother me

Its jealousy Ade

Know what you mean. Had it with the vRS but just let the car answer for itself. I quite like the look of the roadster and SWMBO has always said she wants a 2 seater at some stage so you never know...get her to buy it and me drive it on occasion. Seems like a plan!

Paintwork, Engine Bay is nigh on perfect now

Hood fully sealed

Stubby ariel fitted

Harness pads fitted

Perspex Cabin wind deflector polished with Rupes Rotary

Camera installed but not hard wired yet..I need Simbo again

To do:

Calipers to paint....I think Gold will look subtle

Wheels to remove and seal with Carbon Collective Platinum

Wheel arches to clean and dress at the same time

A couple of chrome touches...not decided where yet

New Rear silencer ..Possibly Miltek

That looks nice Dave..When are you fitting it?

when the rest of the body is done Chris, the last stage of the restoration! I troll the net for bargins, this was freshly painted and £40 :) its not going on before the car is finished or it will fade, get chipped ect ect ... it will only go on when the rest of the bodywork is done and matches it like new! :)

for yours, they respond well to old school "conventional" tuning, so an exhaust, intake ect will do it well ;)

Did you know that Mazda spent a fortune on formulating new paints for the Mk1 MX5 so that the didn't fade like those present at the time and so that the colour on the plastic and metal bodywork matched perfectly, even over time...   every day a school day eh?

The OEM twin exhausts look a little 'Halfords' stick on IMO

So...with a recommendation from Alan (blueR36)....ordered a custom made polished steel exhaust from Zortstec

Its being made this week and will be welded on next week

Ill post up some pictures when its back
