Washed the car tonight all looking good except from the bash on the front passenger door that I found whist washing. 

 

Suspect a neighbours kid done it with a stone. He was always looking at the car door in the last couple of days and I never realised why. 

 

Second time the Rapid has been damaged sitting on my drive way having not moved in days...

 

 

Anyone know how much it would cost to repair the dint and chips?

I think that you should just touch it up and leave it, if he sees that you have fixed it there is a chance that he will do it again

I find that kids steal valve caps from my car, if they see that i didnt put any new ones on theyll move onto another car

Any way to take the dent out? Plunger? Dry ice? Anyone else here got a suggestion?

Best idea would be to contact a dent man, i have bought a plunger before and it was just a waste of money

Hi All,

 

Didn’t want to post any pics until I’d given the car a proper clean, as even though it’s only 9 months old, it’s not been cleaned properly, and was covered in swirls and marring...so here it is after two days’ elbow grease!

 

Started by washing wheels with two bucket method, and decontaminated with Auto Finesse Iron Out.

 

Snowfoamed the bodywork, followed by two bucket method with detailing brush for nooks & crannies and wool mitt for main body.

 

Dried, then body and glass decontaminated with Auto Finesse Iron Out, rinsed & dried, then wiped down with Auto Finesse Oblitarate, then clayed with Autoglym mild clay. I was surprised at how much junk came off with each these individual stages...

 

Snowfoamed, washed with two bucket method & dried again...

 

Polished by hand with Poorboys SSR-1 twice, which, while not giving 100% correction, certainly did a fantastic job and was easy to use in this hot sunny weather.

 

Finally bodywork protected with Poorboys Liquid Natty’s Red wax. This is the first time I’ve used it, and it was an absolute dream to apply and buff off; will make regular maintenance easy!

 

Wheels protected with two coats of Poorboys Wheel Sealant, and tyres dressed with Swissvax Pneu.

 

Windows cleaned with Meguiar’s window cleaner.

 

This has provided lots of entertainment for my neighbours, a few asking me why it was taking so long to wash the car, but also many comments on how amazing it looks, how much redder it is compared to when I started, is this what I do professionally, etc.!

Yeah, the red looks really good after a couple applications of a decent wax (I use the Bilt Hamber DSW).

Something a bit different today!

Newly cleaned, polished and waxed Fabia Monte Carlo. 

 

I got this Mk4 1.8T GTI for my wife, this week. 

 

Low mileage for age (65k) and a good history. By no means a pristine, A1 example but one of the best ones I’ve seen for a while.  After 10 hrs of work today I think it’s come up rather well. 

 

Calipers and hubs hubs are getting painted next week and I’m going to get a quote for a wheel arch scuff that requires paint.

So many still running out there have been messed about with, or are a pretty sorry state 

OK I will be first to admit I had nothing to do with the following detail! 

 

SWMBO’s new Nissan Leaf in Storm (pearl) White, with a few enhancements, which I collected last week and dropped it off to KDS before even going home!

 

Silver correction detail package (two stage correction)

topped off with a Gtechnic Crystal Serum Ultra coating.

Full clean at the weekend with some supersonic sprints from Autobrite direct applied for around 3 months protection!

Gave my Superb its first

proper wax today after 3 months owning it! 

Gave it a good proper wash and dry, then used Bilt Hamber Double Speed wax. Impressed with how it looks! Actually want a bit of rain now as ive read that the beading this wax gives is crazy! 

Added poorboys EX-P to my normal routine plus pbw wheel sealant 

 

Could do with a pressure washer, any suggestions for a sub £100 machine? Plus which snow foam lance and foam is the best option?

The wife's new (to her) swift after 6hrs of exterior cleaning, apparently the previous owner worked in the dealers valeting department and had used whichever ceramic paint treatment the main dealers try push onto you. Had a fair few swirl marks so he either didn't prep it correctly or its scratched after in the 3yrs since he did it, anyway whilst not being perfect it looks miles better
