death of Roomster

Featured Replies

I have been told today by a Skoda dealer that production of the Roomster ceased last week, so that's the end as apparently a replacement is not in the piepline

Somebody posted the same yesterday, the only ones being produced are those already ordered.

You can still get a new one, just have a limited choice to those in the order pipeline.

This autoexpress article from the end of last year suggests a replacement is in the pipeline, just with no dates yet.

What a shame! I seem to buy quirky yet practical cars which are dropped due to lack of popularity. Previously to buying my new roomie I had a frog-eyed Multipla, loved it and still miss it now!

Its a great shame about its demise but the age of the model is actually quite old really compared to some other vehicles. I think Skoda missed the boat, they should have had some big marketing campaigns for it.

Love mine to bits and intend to keep it for some years too, everyone thats looked around mine agrees how great they are so if Skoda had played their cards right it would of been a huge selling model.

I'm pleased I got mine when I did (2008) its been, BERRRILIANT'.

Yes and I noticed in one of the motoring magazines last week that it was top MPV in ones of these drivers surveys, where as before it was not scoring highly at all ,being the runt of the Skoda litter so to speak.

My sister was surprised how easy it was to lift my grandson into his child seat without bumping his head on the roof lining. She struggles with her new Focus with headroom and rear legroom

Wish I had the money Id go out and buy the wife a Roomster whilst theyre still around. So far mines in joint first place with our other car as the best we have ever owned.

Not the prettiess car in town but I know a few people on Motorbility who will miss the Roomster.

So far mines in joint first place with our other car as the best we have ever owned.

I'm on my second Roomster.  I consider the Roomster by some margin the best car I have ever owned.

Downsides?  During my period of ownership, I seem to have acquired a number of "friends" who would otherwise have hired a van...
