A fascinating time lapse video of a delivery mileage Audi R8 V10 being repaired after having had the fuel pump wiring chewed to pieces by a rat! In order to get at the wiring, the fuel tanks had to be removed. In order to remove the fuel tanks, the engine had to be removed.

I wouldn't like to be picking the bill up for that little lot!

I thought the same as the covers only appeared near the end!

I worked at Portbury Docks for a few summers - they have a problem with rats getting in the cars (engine bays mostly) and chewing brake pipes and mounts - all sots of stuff.  Alot have work done before they go on to dealers.

 

I always wondered how many warranty claims were due to rat damage at the docks.

You should have taken your pooch to work with you. When I was a lad, we had a Jack Russell Terrier and he was a cracking little ratter!

he he - I just know what I'm like...   many times I've reassembled something then found an odd screw left over that I've missed so end up disassembling again to fit it...
