Well, I'm between you guys at 24 :p

And yes, I think I've laid my hands on a black furby vrs with xenons, cruise and airbag disabling thingy for the passenger.

Recommended 'On the Road' prices include delivery, 12 months Road Fund Licence, DVLA First registration Fee and petrol/diesel (UK only). But if you negotiate a deal, I guess that the 'goodies' included as part of the recommended OTR price go out of the window.

I thought that road tax was included in the basic price ..........may be wrong ...............but it was when I bought my Octavia .

Nope.. it didnt include Tax.

Colin , have a look at the advert in the paper , if it was advertised for 10995 that should be the on the road price , which includes road tax .

Your final price should be 10995 plus 250 for the metallic paint , which comes to 11245 .

I did check.. but its asterisked.

"excluding road fund licence"

for those of you who are torn between the "wait x months for the car I want" and "get one which is almost right in 2 weeks" - WAIT!!! I ordered a black vRS octy with CC and parking sensors - would have had a 2-3 month wait - then got the option of a standard one in a week. I went for that and wish I had waited - too easy to drift over the speed limit and reverse parking is a bitch! You should see my rear bumper - scratched to hell - nice in a black car.

my 2c worth.....

It does seem there is some confusion, the website for bickerton skoda in sheffield says a 6 cd changer is standard but on the test drive i was told it was a mistake. If I had bought the car I would have insisted on the changer(trade descriptions act). Also it doesn't mention a trip computer and traction control...

But can they be held responsible for not telling you about every feature of the car?

I havent ever had a car that didnt show something up via diligent reading of the manual that otherwise would have gone un-noticed

Andy

Yeh but they can't say a car has a 6 cd changer when it hasn't this is illegal.

If they've told you it's a mistake before you bought the car, so you buy the car knowing it doesn't come with a 6-cd changer, then it's not illegal.

Rob.
