Ah, yes. Had completely blocked that image out of my memory... Must have been pushed out by all the memories of life flashing by... ;)

Ofcourse at this point in time I should say that the whole overtaking manouvre was a carefully planned exercise and that I had plenty of time to get in front of the petrol tanker... not :D

i am not going to make any comments about a certain furbie drivers overtaking hmmm wait till car coming then go more of a challenge!:D

Hope you're not referring to myself and Matt there...? :D (it wasn't deliberate - it just happened - damn my lack of acceleration!)

no jason there was a certain amount of safety with your overtaking:D

certain amount? would that be a certainly low amount? I never felt I overtook unsafely, I must admit. It felt really good to accelerate up to the slower lorry/tractor & do a really quick jerky pull out into the other lane and fly past... so childish. :D

I managed a couple of fairly unsafe overtakes.

One was on the second stage where I overtook a van and trailer *just* before a 45 degree right hand bend so I went past him and took the corner at the same time.

The other was an escort that was turning off into a layby at the bottom of a very steep dip. I went past him just as he was starting to turn in so there was a huge speed difference between us.

I'm pretty sure Monkey Hanger was just behind me for both so he can probably confirm the lack of safety.

I can certainly confirm the van & trailer, cos i followed you thru the corner and past the van  :drive:

All I'm going to say is Corsa. And Beemer.

Driving a diesel furby, they were probably calculated 6 months in advance

Well I don't think they are *that* much slower than a diesel Octy

So how come Jon came to play with the Furbies at the front rather than lagging behind with the soft lads at the back?

And how come the furbies always set off first but arrived last ? ;-)

Ah, the old 'sorry we got lost... for the 3rd time' trick :D
