  • And possibly my favourite capture so far......

  • And before you start giving me a hard time, I am a huge fan of the Reds and have the privilege of seeing them far more often than most, and much closer than most as well.   And occasionally I get to

  • Sorry, Mick, I can't get enough of them

You been hanging around the end of my street again?

Strongly recommend you stay away this weekend; with the motorbike show at the showground it is Harley Davidson/Hell's Angel central up here at the moment. Bikes everywhere!

The road was already starting to get littered with them when I went up today..........keeping the local (and not so local) constabulary busy :)

Yes indeed, Feds everywhere.

The second shot in post 26 is impressive Bryan, real sense of speed and god only knows why they don't hit each other, great shot. The other one for me is the third shot in the same post, very dramatic great sky which set's the image off.

I'd imagine successful aviation  photography is very difficult, with no reference points, or background to speak of, to put any sense of perspective speed or interest into the shot so I suppose the subject matter has to be as dramatic as you can make it which all looks pretty tricky.

Cracking shots again Bryan.  Don't suppose you managed to catch the Vulcan whilst she was out and about?  Over Waddo around tea time I am reliably informed.  First flight since her winter overhaul and as it is her last season flying chances of a piccie are going to be rare.

Thanks :)

Missed the Vulcan, there were various rumours and counter rumours whether it was going to go to Scampton, various different times quoted which all came and went, I gave up in the end (patience isn't one of my strong points)

I'm hoping to go to Cosford on 14th June, and she's due to be performing there

Once again Bryan you have excelled,

That is All

Vulcan was over Waddington yesterday and did a full display rehearsal over Scampton today.

I was at Nottingham today for another blood test and it took 3 hours to get home due to an accident on the A46 near Newark :)

I'm going to Cosford on 14th June and the Reds and the Vulcan are both on the flying schedule, along with a lot of other good stuff

And occasionally I get to crash a photoshoot; this was the grand revealing of the 50th anniversary tail art:

And yes, I have lost a few pounds since the picture was taken!

Great photo, not sure who you are on the photo but that doesnt matter its a nice momento for you.

Saw them tonight in a nine over Wragby Road as I was on my way back from the Cold War Jests day at Bruntingthorpe.  Heard loads of jet noise and thought my ears were still ringing from watching a Lightning do a fast taxi run.

Like both of those hehe. Wish I had known it was brunty as Id love to see that. A friend of mine is a fire fighter there, will have to give him a dig and see if I can get in.

Maybe you can do better next week?

excellent shots.

Are we allowed to add some of our own?

Either that or have your own thread to save confusion

Here are some of mine from back in 2009, at Leuchars:
