ok..... I was going through the previous destinations on the Columbus and realised that all of the previous owner's destinations were still in there so thought I would tidy it up and delete all their destinations leaving only the ones I had entered in the last year since I have had the car. I went through them all and deleted about 15 or so old destinations and all went well apart from the fact that I cannot seem to delete four previous destinations (one is also a favourite the other three are not).

I select the options for each of them, then select delete, then select delete again when asked to confirm but they just stay on the list and don't disappear like the others have all done.

Any ideas anyone? I've had a quick google but can't seem to find anything relating to this.

You could try this.

"Setup" - "System" - "Factory Settings" - then select "Navigation" and then reset. It'll delete all navigation settings I'm afraid, but it should get rid of the stubborn ones.

I've managed to sort it all out...... I found some info on a VW forum relating to the exact same issue on the RNS-510.

 

 

Basically if there is a voice tag attached to that destination you have to delete the voice tag before then deleteing the destination. The previous owner had indeed got voice tags for all the one's i couldn't delete so once i had deleted the voice tags it then let me delete the destinations too.

 

The forum post i got it from had foxed people for a while it seems with them also trying your idea Rustynuts to no avail.
