Awsome Rolling Road Results

Featured Replies

It was the SCN RR day at awsome in warrington on saturday, so I thought i'd throw the car on the for curiosity.

I am informed that the loading was set at 8%, which in my view is not sufficient to properly load a diesel engine. Also the whp, and bhp figures are very close, with the torque being identical. Can anyone throw any light on this for me as I am confused.

PM'd just too late. Other forums are asking similar questions re- very odd results.

A quote from another forum NOT MINE.

"I think there are so many differences in RR figures that its hard to believe anyone!

The main thing is that the car is producing good 'safe' power and that your happy with it.

I say safe power cos i thought that a KO3s was only good for 250ish, therefore it woould seem his will go tits up very soon!!"

Sorry Fluff, it was a last minute thing. Can you pm me grahams number? I've misplaced it.

From the bikey side of life, I have lost count of the different power runs I have done / had done on bikes with varying results so the general rule of thumb is any dyno should be used as a guide, if your happy, your happy :-0

On the bikes, I only ever use Revolution Racing in Galgate near lancaster, so I have benchmarks for work done before and after and the "increased" figure is normally pretty accurate, and Roger Ditchfield has been involved in racing for over 40 years so knows his stuff.

So ignore the results and use the figures as a guide, and the @rse dyno for the true picture

if it was me i would take every one with a pinch of salt as far as peak figures go. over time if you use a few different RR you will get to know roughly what the car is putting out :)

Which forum?

I assume this is directed at my car which saw 226whp (wheel horsepower)?

Gary you forget that most Fabia owners believe their own hype about running 180+ hp....

but then an F430 has more hp than an F40... but know which I would take to the strip every day of the week.....

SE comments about results posted on Awesome site, don't know if it's you.

I see that Awesome will be posting a reply tomorrow in response to the numerous queries about the RR results.

Went looking can't see it will try SCN, wish I'd copied the whole thing, I note that Awesome are posting a response to questions.

I like others prefer a single RR to compare different mods to my car. And all was well till !
