I'm sure she will

Much more of a surprise than the Fifa news - she looks quite pretty in that picture (in fact, I didn't recognise her)

They've been trying to get the American's into Football for years, guess it wasn't the FBI they had in mind? :)

Wonder how long it'll be till Mr Blatter gets a door knock?

Really surprised about this.

That it took them so long to find out what the general public knew for years-the whole setup is as bent as 9 nine bob note

Yep, he's done a press conference to say he knows nothing about any dodgy behaviour, and he's the right man to lead the reform.

At least until one of the accused drops him in it in exchange for immunity, anyway.

According to the BBC most of the African and Caribean nations luv Blatter because he actually delivers on his promises and developing nations get "Micro-economic aid" in the form of  football grounds and stadia and don't get burdened with unserviceable debt.

When the Americans pop round with their development consultancies and finance from the World Bank, most of these developing countries get stitched-up like kippers with long-term debt and end-up trading their raw materials and produce at below market rates, which ultimately limits their growth(See John Perkins, "Confessions of an economic hit man").

Is that why the Americans don't like Blatter, because he undermines their model of "Development" for developing countries ? And, of course, Dave, Has to appear to sing from the same hymn sheet.

Of course, UEFA don't like Blatter because development of football World-wide takes the focus off the European game and creates more professional footballers World-wide for the fixed number of tournaments. And we all are aware what happens when supply exceeds demand in the labour market, lower take home. Uncle Wayne and big Eric, the American and gulf UK club owners and the Australian media mogul, amongst a few, aren't going to like that.

The "Corruption" alleged here is £200 million over 20 years, whereas, I seem to recall the distortion to  the banking and lending framework of the whole World Economy, which started after the unsuccessful doughnut dodger a.k.a B.C. signed-off the derating of the Glass Act of 1929 in the late 1990's and incentivised the like of Saloman Brothers Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns and their European copyists to assemble infeasible  loan and debt packages culminated in the collapse of the World Economy in 2008 and expenditure, in the form of write-offs, prop-ups and quantative easing, at the World-wide taxpayers expense,  of tens of trillions of dollars. So, eh, when's Kevin Turvey going to start digging into that one ? In World economic priority terms, that beats FIFA hands down.

I'm just thinking, its a piece of **** to brainwash people with top-down "News" releases, which are the complete opposite of what's true.

Nick

And Fifa doesn't require host countries to make legislative changes to suit Fifa and sponsors?
