I order my 14.TSI SE-L on the 26th Sep and have been told week 50 build. I would talk to the dealer again

Have been doing so since ordering... painful.

I am new to the forum I ordered a 2l 150 l@k end of July. Just had confirmation it has arrived on the dock side so happy days

Cannot prove it but I think the dealers do sit on orders to smooth their ordering, commission and reg plates especially those in Nov/Dec etc etc....I waited ages for order number and then got a twitter reply with 14 weeks from August for unconfirmed build but order was submitted in July??

As I said in an earlier thread somewhere ..... I watched the order placed on the screen and the the Salesman actually let me press the return button to place the order.

Their was no waiting for a date. Their was an unconfirmed date instantly on the screen of week 41.

I intend to order next week, but dont want to take delivery until March (16 Reg) and been told thats okay.

So, I dont know how thats gonna work.

The car is ordered via a large-ish UK dealer network.. my logic is that they placed a heavily discounted bulk order with the factory to be made and shipped in one go... hence the ridiculous pace of events. Called Skoda UK late August to naively chase for a build week... the chap told me "my dealer" had over 100 S3s on order already!

Being a company car ordered... via a large vehicle management company... via a large dealership... customer service is diluted to the max.

I ordered mine last Monday and I'm still waiting an order number never mind a build week.

I ordered my new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (Plugin Electric Hybrid Vehicle) yesterday and as it has to come from Japan I should get it in around 6/7 weeks.

 

I almost wish I was still a company car driver as the BIK deal on this car is phenomenal - although it's almost criminal that many of the people who take it for that reason can't be bothered to plug it in!

Just heard from my dealer that I've been given an unconfirmed Build Week of 50. Ordered on 1 October. That's not too bad but I did order the 1.4TSI ACT. Maybe Petrol's are shipping out sooner?

Currently still stuck at Grimsby because of some red tape to do with the consignment order. :-(

I ordered a month after you Pete and have a build week 46 so looks like I'm a month behind.

I ordered my Mk III Business SE 2.0l TDI 150 in Cappuccino Beige Metallic, Modus 18" Alloys, Heated Leather seats and Full Size Spare 2 weeks ago.  Was told it was a 8 -9 week lead time but wasn't told you could track your car.  Is there a way you can on line as I need to sell my Mk II privately (getting it on a lease as really want the extra stuff on the Business SE but don't wanna shell out on the SE Executi) but need 2 cars until I know I'm getting the new one delivered so knowing when to place an add on Autotrader, eBay etc. would be useful!

You can only track online if you buy from Bickertons or Rainworth.
