Got the call from my dealer yesterday to say car is now built and waiting for shipping to the uk.

Order was placed with the dealer on November 27th 2015.

L&K 2.0 TDi 150PS Hatch Manual, Jungle Green, Cream ventilated leather with a few extras.

Hopefully on target for collection 1st/2nd week of April as per dealers original prediction so no complaints.

Finally I can start to get excited

Hello chalky I ordered a superb combi 190dsg l&k on the 8 th Jan (this year

Don't know what happened to the rest of the comment but ordered the Jan 8 th and car is sitting in emden waiting the lift to ireland, I was trying to find out the name of the boat as you can track the boat on marine traffic, it looks like the boat is also called emden but can't be 100% but either way I was told I will take delivery end of March

There is a car carrier called "Frisia" that is displaying Dublin Ireland on its transponder currently berthed in Emden - ETA 15th March.

Thanks for coming back to me fxb.

Best of luck briskodian. You were lucky.

The dealer got thick and smart with my wife saying it was our fault for picking the beige leather. He will know about on Monday when I contact the general manager of the dealers. All that's wrong with him is I am doing 1200km a week and the car will be worth less money than the trade in value by the time the cars arrives. I have ordered an A4 and a VW CC before through my old job and bang on 12 weeks later I got each time.

Order was placed with the dealer on August 18th 2015,L&K 2.0 TDi 190HP 4x4
Automatic Gearbox, Business Gray, Beige Leather Interior, the car will arrive next week, so the ranks of those who have waited more than seven months.

Thanks Pentax Ian and other boat to add to my fleet

It seems our cars are transit buddies pentaxian. My car was likewise built on the same Monday/Tuesday (29th Feb and 1st March) and showing as en route to Emden on the Wednesday. That's the last I heard but at the time the dealer said we should expect it (north west England) around the 16th March. Have you heard any updates since then?

Ready to be cleaned?! Mine was clean when I got it.... ;-)

Mine was driven to the company office (79 miles) and the delivery driver offered to find a local car wash and put it through but I declined. Would rather do it myself.

Now washed and given two coats of polish. Been out in it this evening and loving it.

Still lots to check out. Will try and upload some images soon.

placed my order on Wednesday 24th Feb. SE L Executive estate, corrida red, 18" Pegasus alloys, leather/alcantara, extras spare wheel, colour maxi dot, rubber mats, portion screen net, retractable parcel shelf. initially told BW21 but been revised to BW17 which reading ppls posts on here seems pretty good! the problem with the wait is that I keep having different thoughts over various decisions like leather alcantara vs all leather, and going for the red, or should I add in remote boot release for rear seats etc.

Hi Derv

Spoke with Skoda UK on Friday for an update and I was told that the backlog they claim to have is nearly cleared and that they expect that it will be shipped over the weekend.

Therefore I hope it was either on the African Highway which was a 2000 roughly car capacity which arrived in Grimsby yesterday or is on either the Neckar Highway or Schelde Highway which are due into Grimsby this evening (circa 1500 cars between them), will be ringing them again on Monday morning to see if it is now in the country or still sat in Germany.  I would say 16th is probably tight if they are only arriving today in Grimsby but you never know.

I'm loving this good news from the dealer twice in one week Tuesday that the car was built and yesterday that it was already in Elmdon, Germany yesterday just wonder now how long it will still there. Almost too good to be true.

Yay ! at long last heard from my dealer yesterday that my car is on route to them, and all being well should be able to collect next Weekend. Ordered on 23rd Dec so just over 12 weeks from order to collection which compared to others is pretty quick.

Hi Derv

Just got an update on mine and it those three ships did not have the car onboard, told they have no idea when they will be shipping the car.  Have never met such a disinterested company ever.

That's extremely unfortunate. :( I too have had a lot of communication/organisation issues with Škoda UK this time around, almost enough to make me wish I'd gone for the 240ps Mondeo instead. Hopefully things will progress for us soon. I'll let you know if I hear anything, thanks for the update! :)

Likewise Derv, I am however getting slightly worried here as I was also looking at the Mondeo........

Sorry to be the bearer of good/bad news mate, but I just got off the phone. SUK said my SLI doesn't correspond to any known order, and to check with the dealer. To be fair the lady also answered the phone (at 12.40pm) with 'Good morn.... good a.... good morning welcome to Volks... Erm... Welcome to Škoda UK' so.... :D

I rang the dealership, choosing the admin/accounts option (rather than sales). The lady took the SLI and instantly gave me the car's details and said it was now showing as 'Port of exit release'. So my car, at least, is now in the UK and waiting to be put on a trailer to the dealership. As I said, good news (for me) and bad - or at least indeterminate - news for you. Sorry mate. Perhaps chase with your dealer rather than SUK as, in my experience at least, the former ironically know rather more. Perhaps your car has shipped after all? I know SUK said it hasn't, but they also told me my order doesn't exist lol... Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Derv appreciate the update.  I will make some more phone calls.

According to our dealer both dealers & S.u.K. use the same data base from the factory.........................

I have absolutely no doubt that's true. Unfortunately however SUK have been repeatedly shown to be as useful as a chocolate fire guard... Hence suggesting asking the dealer to double check in case SUK missed something (as they clearly did with me). For the sake of a phone call it's worth a go. :)

Have checked with the dealer and it is in Emden.

Spoken with Skoda UK (Complaints Team) and they have basically said that it is not possible for Derv's car to be in the UK if mine is not.  According to him all cars are shipped in strict rotation and no cars bypass others etc.  Pretty much contrary to evidence on here and from the dealer....

Obviously only advised them that Skoda UK advised Derv (obviously no names mentioned) that it was built on the same two days as mine, arrived Emden at the same time as mine and yet one remains in Germany whilst one is in the UK.

Well hang on a minute. I wasn't given a status code (which would have been clearer), she simply said port of exit release. I asked if that meant it was in the UK and she said yes, but wouldn't port of exit be Emden and UK be port of entry?

Maybe they are both in Emden after all and the dealer misadvised me?

Estate SE L TDI 150. Ordered week 9. Build week 16. Can't wait.
