  • Put the wet weather kit on and went and did my Advanced Test.... and passed

  • You're right, I've just undone one and the lip on the pipe extrudes out of the block so it's pressing against that.

  • Finished! That's 2016 done.

Also were you aware that the Police raided the place and shut the road down whilst they were trying to break the World record for the amount  women riders in one place?  Apparently they are getting sick and tired of the wheelies and burn outs amongst the traffic.

Ace Cafe has always been the centre of controversy going back to the days when riders used to put a single record on the jukebox ride up the North Circular and back before the record finished.  Nowadays it is pseudo stunt riders who think it is cool to perform their cunning stunts while the general public are walking and driving about.

It is OK to have a bit of wildness in the right place but certain individuals can and will get the place shut down which after all these years is a shame.  Never been myself but most places have somewhere similar.  We have Willingham Woods between Market Rasen and Louth where bikers congregate at weekends and on a Wednesday night when they have a bike night.  There are always a few who seem to think that everyone will be impressed with the size of their conkers!

Yeah, I've read the various notices, the things they do are impressive it's just a huge case of wrong place and time to do them. I was fully shocked the other week at just how close they get to carnage, it's a wonder why there isnt more smashes there. I was happy enough with my burger for lunch and a pint of coke but ended up watching for a few hours.

Well, he behaved the other week with me, the fact so many people knew him and come over to say hi and that makes me wonder if he does the other weeks he is there, maybe I should roll down now and see what he's up to :D

Went for a ride after a funeral this afternoon.

For first time ever, on the bike, i set out, decided i cant be bothered, turned round and ordered an indian takeaway.

But it really needs a wash if anybodys got 5? Haha.

Sometimes we ride to do stuff and sometimes we ride to get away from stuff.  Important thing is we do ride!  I don't even try and explain it to those that don't because I don't have the words to do it justice.  I think we are lucky and we need to stop grinning otherwise the others will think we have been let out of somewhere. :dull:

Too true.

Eh sometimes i wonder iv ive been let out of somewhere myself haha.

Realising even more lately though. Things arent always what they seem! The lad i grew up with was always smiling, yet decided to end his life for some reason, at 23. Its mad.

Which makes me think youve gotta do as much of what makes you happy as possible!

Scottoiler filled and purged, tyre pressures checked, oil checked, twiddled with the rear shock abit.

Might go for a ride after some food n see if the shock adjustment is an improvement

I never ever got the Scottoiler to work on my VTEC in all the time I had it.  In fact I binned it in the end as it always had an airlock and wouldn't drip no matter how many time you purged it.  Plus on the old VRF it leaked all over the back tyre while going round Cadwell!

Shaft drive for me from now on.  In fact for a second bike I might see if I can get a CX500 again!

Im still not decided on it if im honest. Ive only filled it up twice in the time ive had the bike, ive just been lubing it like normal.

Its had a new chain on not so long ago though, so i thought id give it another go (:

Shaft drive is better tbf.

Ooh dad had one of those. Hes abit of an expert on em tbh. Hes currently looking for a mint original one

I'm guessing striple is hard at work polishing the bike ?

I'm guessing he has a reclining chair in the garage to sit back, admire his work and dream about what it must be like to ride a bike....

Which one though?  They did a CBX750 which I wanted when they came out and there are some out there that I think would make a good 'toy' as stuff like that will become classic.  Or the CBX1000 which are fetching stupid money now.  I know a bloke who has one along with 6 or 7 other bikes of all sorts and he would have sold the CBX 2 years ago for 3K.  I should have bitten his arm off.

In fact bring your Dad along to our meet when we finally get it sorted.  I am sure me and him can bore you stupid with our yacking about the good old days with the Plastic Maggot!

Today I bought some Brembo M4 monoblocks which will then be fitted to my Tuono. Bought for a bargain price and includes the lines and master cylinder.

Should set the bike off nicely and be rid of the gold brembos.

The CBX1000 is the one he wants.

He used to have one of those back in the day too. Wishes he never sold it.

I must admit, the straight 6 does look cool

I thought we got a new brother!

:D Stuck with this one for now lol. He was on his best behaviour, even though his bike is a right mess.
