Flame do a custom system with sports cat, I believe there is a group buy running, something like

sounds good, didn't realise you could get a hatchback 4x4 thought it was only the estate you could get. Not sure about the front grill on your though Stuart_J. Were the grills custom made ?

The badgeless surround for the main grill is a Milltec item, All I did was to add stainless mesh, pattern as the jags & the mesh in the lower openings was simply glued in place a few days before the cannonball, that dosent look the best & will be sorted by mounting them behind when the paintwork is tidied up next year

To add 4x4 hatches are rare but exclusive !!

Just been looking on autotrader.... looks like they only did the 4x4 in elegence trim. Can any one confirm this ?

That's correct, for the UK at least.

Eddy... just checked your gallery. Nice looking motor !!! What head unit you running the phatnoise off ? I noticed you've got Satnav, but was that put in before the phatnoise or after.

I'm looking at getting a VW specced one, but don't know wether it would fit the Skoda Head units

Thanks for the comments. The phatnoise is connected to the satnav but also works with the standard HU and a VW Gamma along with a few others, I have one on the Ibiza connected to the standard Alana HU.

having the estate i sure can pack the fudge in through my rear hatch. i could probab get pictures if you want?

So just plug in a VW phatnoise to the 6 CD autochanger lead in the boot and away I go ? (HU is the elegence spec symphony)

Gonna be a bit till I get rid of my company ocy TDI so I thought I'd get a phatnoise for it to replace the CD-autochanger... then just put it into my Ocy 4x4 / vRS project car when I switch

Yes if you already have the 6CD changer it's literally a 5 minute job and the phatnoise even fits in the standard bracket, there are pics of the phatnoise in the boot in my gallery.

Just make sure you get a VW phatnoise as the Audi one uses a different connector.

I'd recommend buying from Mikan Motors on Ebay US, bought both of mine from him. They're an authorised VW dealer but very cheap and quick delivery.

There was an 4x4 L&K on the continent, but only in estate version, with a choice of 1.8T or 1.9 TDI. There was only one 4x4 hatch version, the 1.8T Elegance.

What tell you were loosing power throught the drive train or tell that the 4WD was doing it's job ?

Sorry - fingers ahead of brain. I meant to say despite the losses, you couldn't tell on the road, compared to other similar powered cars... :D That was a Scooby with permanent 4x4 though, rather than a switchable Haldex system....

Chris

On my last RR run I had 17% losses on my 4x4, it's a much more efficient system than found on Scoobies.
I had 20% on my 4X4's RR remap runs.

18.6% over here :)
