Black Edition Citigo

Featured Replies

So I had been looking at what first car to buy, looked all sorts and had a few test drives. Ended up in the Skoda garage at quite a good time tbh, was the day that they had released the new Black Edition Citigo. Thought it looked nice and was for a reasonable price for what I was getting, black wheels, blacked out windows, extra speakers etc. So I put a deposit down on it based on what I'd been told and the picture below as there wasnt any actual pictures of it, and was told it would be arriving from Germany within 2 week, the long wait started.

Then had a phone call saying they'd accidentally sold me the car that was going to used as a demonstrator, but as I'd already put the deposit down they said they'd have to let me have it and that I would be one of the first people to have it on the roads, which was true as I didnt see one until 4 months after I got mine.

Day I got my car I thought it looked great

Exactly 5 weeks later left my car at a car park, came back to find a scratch along the wheel arch. The lass who did it drove off as well and parked about 10 spaces up, was told by someone she did it and was quiet noticeable by the dent and the black paint on her car, nice big bill for her.

First mod I made was the wind deflectors and personally think they look blend in great with the all black car.

Here's some photos of the car, when its clean;

I've more possible mods planned such as adding;

Exhaust tip

Air filter

Changing the headlights to white

LED rear lights

Remap

Then I'm also considering either changing the grill surround to black, to finish the black look.

Or to get the wing mirrors chrome to give it a black and chrome look, and maby getting the strips similar to the monte carlo but in silver.

Sorry if you've found this boring but feel free to leave any comments or advice.

Ill up date this I make any mods as well.

Haha, finally has some spare time yesterday to make one. I'm quite tempted to get the chrome wing mirrors but I want something else to have the chrome look all the way wrong the car.

I think it would be, for a 60hp engine to go up to 82/84hp I think would make quite a bit of difference. Only thing is its £350 :/

It's been a while since I've updated this, but I've been trying sort my insurance out as they won't insure me to have any mods that will effect the engine power :( which I didn't know until I had ordered a Ramair air filter and wanted to declare it. So when it came to renewing it I looked at a few other companies, but they were a few hundred £ more :(.

But anyway I've ordered the skoda mudflaps as I'm sick of have a back end that is like a muddy field, but they seem quite small and I'm not sure if they'd make much difference. Wondering whether to just but them on or to go for some universal mudflaps which might be a bit bigger.

Anyone got any tips regarding this?

Hyphons has them, his cars always dirty lol

Mudflaps do squat tbh :D I like them though, they've really grown on me and with the spacers help really make the back end sit nice

Oh and don't be afraid to get your dealer to fit them, I gave up fitting mine, got so peeved off I binned them :rofl:

Skoda ones are easy peasy, but I didn't drill any holes!

My rear bumper was knackered anyway, stupid people who can't park :(

Managed to get them on today, front ones easy the back ones weren't to bad. Used a Stanley to take the bits for the drilled holes and put the very stiff clipped on.

Cheers, I think now I'll change the head lights and DLR bulbs next to a more whiter colour anyone got any recommendations? Also has anyone found any brake caliper covers, I've had a look but not found anything so far.

I'll find the link to the bulb set up I used to have at some point, worked nicely and colours matched well
